Hi there everyone!
Whoaaaaaa..where in the world is time going this month? I don’t even have my Christmas cards done yet. Usually, by now they are in the mail.
They may be late this year:)
Today, I am sharing a recycled spaghetti jar craft.
I love crafting with jars, bottles, cans, you name it. If I can make something out of it, I will give it try.
I soaked the labels off in sudsy warm water. They come right off. This is actually a nice jar if you notice it is a measuring jar.
I think I bought the sauce at Aldi’s. Not bad, but not like my home made. In a pinch for time though nothing wrong with jarred sauce. I’m half Italian and admitting to that.
Grabbed a few supplies from the Dollar tree. Hope you have been checking out the Dollar tree party going on now. Over 80+ inspiring ideas. It is open until the end of the month.
$50.00 giveaway too from me to you.
I gave the jar two coats of chalky paint. {You can find this paint at Michael’s now}. Let that dry completely
then went over it with mod podge
While the mod podge was still wet I sprinkled on the diamond dust. You could actually just use sparkly mod podge if you don’t want to deal with the dust.
The diamond dust does sparkle though nicely.
I picked up a two pack of flickering tea lights to put in the bottom of the jar.
I wrapped the bells around the jar, and also cut the pom poms off the the other stocking to add more embellishing. Those little snowflakes you see on the trip are actually sprinkles for baking. I use whatever I have around here when it comes to crafting.
isn’t that stocking adorable? For a buck. I just loved it.
I actually bought two and cut the one to trim around the jar. I love plaid and I kept the rest of the stocking to use on other crafts.
Added it my new window shelves dressed up for Christmas.
At night it looks adorable lit up in the window.
And that’s what you can do with a spaghetti jar.
Thanks for stopping over today. If you are not a regular, I sure would love to see you back again.

How cute! I bet this technique would be good to fix up some old scratched up ornaments, too.
Khadija
That is really really cute. I think a row of them on the table would be cute year round.

Very cute! I love your easy, simple crafts! Have a Merry Christmas!

These are so cute and simple. I made your snowmen salt and pepper shakers. I have white chalk paint leftover. I’m thinking this would be cute on my daughter’s front porch. I’d love it if you shared these at Holiday Best.

You are brilliant buying that extra stocking to cut up! Love the sparkle stuff but I would probably opt for the sparkle Mod Podge…great little craft. 🙂

Those jars are so cute Debbie. I have yet to paint with chalky paint – it looks so pretty. I love those Dollar Tree bells too – may have to go back and pick up more.

Yes, you should. And get on the crafting with chalky. It’s great.
