Hello!
I am Amy Renea of A Nest for All Seasons and I’d love to welcome you to Hershey PA!
You really should come in the back door — we are usually out on the porch in summer 🙂
You really should know that this deck and the gardens is what REALLY sold the house three years ago when we stumbled upon it. We were in the middle of a lease on a townhouse after moving from Nebraska to Pennsylvania, but when this home came up as a short sale and we saw those gardens all overgrown, but full of mature plants….well I now knew Why My Plants Had to Die.

Somehow I didn’t know Amy was expecting a new little lamb. Goodness, soon too, I gotta go boil some water.

I really loved your garden area and shed! Kind of got lost over there with the “winter sowing” and was wondering if that is something you could do if in the upper south and don’t really get much snow to cover the tray tops with. You have LOTS of GREAT ideas!

Thanks so much for the feature Debbie!! …and thanks for all of your kind words — you girls are so VERY sweet!

HA — bliss — I am SOOOOOOOOOO expecting 😉 10 days and counting!
KC – glad you got lost 😉 Depending on how far south you are, winter sowing might not work. It works best with seeds that benefit from a freezing period (like sweet peas with their hard shells). That said, if you are far enough south, you can just seed all year round! Better than being able to winter sow in my book 😉 If you aren’t certain, it never hurts to try one flat of cheap seeds this winter and see how things go!! (You could even try a “weed” like goldenrod or coneflower/black eyed susan, etc just to see how things go for free)
