I have been dying to try two Annie Sloan Chalk paint colors for the past year.
Today I am sharing a thrift store chair painted two toned with Annie Sloan chalk paint.
Last week I shared with you an inspiration for the magazine copy cat challenge.
The thrift store chair on the right….
After I stenciled the initial on top, I was not crazy about it anymore. Besides this chair was out all winter, and really needed a freshening up.
Perfect opportunity to use my new Annie Sloan colors.
Gotta love my work area…the kitchen floor.
Hey, at least something is getting done in there..it sure is not cooking!
{Note you can also use Annie Sloan chalk paint as a chalk board} I painted this mat, let it dry and wrote on it. It worked great!
Now where to put it????????
I knew after I painted the chair, it could not be all green…
LOVE the color, but way too much green.
So I I just randomly added some of the Louis blue…
Waxed it..
Stenciled on the seat…
Used copper color craft paint for my stencil project.
Lightly distressed.
And there you have the Thrift store chair resurrection!
Mixing different shades of greens, blues and yellows can really work well together in one room.
I think this is a perfect example!~
If you are new here, welcome! I hope to see you back again.

Love the new look for the chair – you do such amazing projects. Peggy
Debbie this is so cute — I love the shape and lines of the chair AND the colors you chose! I also LOVE your ‘work space’ — LOL. I usually use the basement or garage but I think the light upstairs is much better for crafting. Love these colors — I need to branch out and try some of the brighter ones!
Debbie, what a fun little chair!
Cute cute chair. I love the green and blue together. I want to get some Louis blue. Have not used it yet.
I think your chair turned out so cute! All of those colors give it alot of charm. It’s fit for a cottage now.
I paint in the kitchen too! Love the chair and I can’t wait to visit the Newbies!
Debbie
Love the chair Debbie, Antibes Green is my favorite ASCP color. It looks wonderful in your setting:)
I looove the chair!! Thank you for hosting Debbie!

Love the chair! You did a great job!
Hi Debbie! Can I just tell you how much I enjoy reading your ideas!? From your bedrooms to the rooster in the kitchen..all inspiring! Have a wonderful week! Sunny109 (Dianna)
Can’t say enough about this cute little chair! I liked the green, but that touch of blue puts it over the top in the cuteness category. Looks great in your room! Thanks also for hosting the always fun Newbie Party! Jane
Oh my…this is one charming chair Debbie. I really like how you used all the colors on one chair.
Blessings,
Linda
Love the color combinations you used, Debbie. They’re fun and happy! 🙂 Sue
Hello again Debbie! Thanks for hosting, I’m so glad to be back this week again. Little Bit from http://www.DecorateWithaLittleBit.com
Hey~Hey Miss D! Looks like the party is off to a great start =) I am sooooo excited to be picking a Newbie to spotlight!! I have been cruising around. Lots of fab stuff out there.
Love the chair in that funky~fresh green! Super cute. Perfect for Spring/Summer =) Nice and happy.
I love the chair! I have never used the ASC paints; the outcome is just beautiful, but there seem to be so many steps: different paint colors, waxes, etc. Do I need a class? I have an old table I would dearly love to do this summer. Any help any of you can offer would be great!
Nancy
Hi Nancy! The first color was Arles, and that was done last Fall. The next color I did was the Antibes green…than as you can see I just trimmed it in the Louis Blue. The wax was the last step. Really NONE of it difficult in the sense the paint is so easy to work with and dries so fast. I think you would love it.
Debbie, I love those colors, the chair looks a 100 years old! Duh, I never thought that of course chalk paint could work as chalk paint, like on a chalk board!! You are soooo smart!
Carol
Another beautifully done project! I love this sweet little chair…the green looks so fresh. 🙂 Thanks for hosting another terrific party!
I’m a big fan of this color palette. Love the chair and the room!

Love the color combinations you chose for the chair! Beautiful! Had to share my yard sale finds post because the rooster made me think of you when I first saw it! Thanks for helping out us newbies!

Your Chair turned out so cute! Found you via Pinterest 🙂 Thank you for hosting the fun linky party!
I just love the mix of the green and blue. I’m trying to step out of the box with colors because I love all the whimsy I see at places like this. My biggest problem is getting my rooms to all have neutral backdrops to begin with. Sure hope the fun color trend stays put until I can catch up!
I love the color combination Debbie! What an awesome make-over!!
What a beautiful color you chose for the chair. The stencil looks great! Thanks for hosting. Megan
Wow love how it turned out! I want a bright chair for my back porch…..never thought to look at the thrift stores!! Happy Monday!

Great color mix! I LOVE those curtain panels ~

I love the green! I don’t think there is anything that a nice coat (or two or three) of paint can’t fix. At least in the world of home decor:)

I love the color combination you used! So very pretty. And it honestly does look like something that would be in Country Living Magazine. Thank you for sharing what colors you used.
I like the two tone on the chair, and the distressing, yup. I didn’t know you could use the paint as chalk board, this opens things up to new possibilities. And seriously…….. at least I move the rug out from under my drop cloth when I paint in the house.
~Bliss~
Good thing my tarp is lined. Besides painting with chalk paint there is barely any drip if any at all.:)
Great layering job, Debbie.
I love your new chair! It looks fantastic in that three colors!
Thanks for hosting. I have so much to learn about blogging. I’ve got the pictures and interests figured out for now but making posts is hasn’t become easy yet.

Nancy
Debbie. Love the look of the new chair. That little corner of your home just keeps getting cuter and cuter! Greens and blues are my favorite colors. They can be so soothing.
Its been a great spring for getting my garden and yard in shape and I finally got the lattices up and the plants installed. Thanks for hosting, happy I can still join in (3 followers to go before I am ‘out’).
The chair is perfect Debbie. You would be so proud of me as I have spray painted about ten or so small objects recently and sold them (none photographed-not that special). Sometimes I feel my painting side stir just a bit. Have a terrific week. hugs, olive
What an amazing idea! I’m a newbie – and it shows… I’ve done something weird to my linky picture and it isn’t showing! I’m number 62, The Coffee Table Makeover.
Girl, you amaze me! I can barely get one coat of paint on something… let alone 3, 4, 5! Your chair is super cute!! I’ve visited some of your newbies and have seen some really great stuff! Lots of talented people out there 🙂
Debbie, you did a great job. I love the mix of colors you did. I’ve been eyeing that green ASCP, and your version is great.
Your chair is just one big smile. I love the way you have staged in that area as well. So pretty and cheerful!
