Hi there everyone!
You know sometimes we all have a bad day..whether it is work related, kid related, home, an unexpected bill, etc, etc.
I have a cure for all those blues.
It’s called the Cure all potato chip!
Whatever ails you the cure all chip will fix ya!
I know, it sounds weird and perhaps I am making a medical breakthrough in Science.
But I am telling you, this chip will make you forget all your worries.
Leave it to my friend Laurian, not only to come up with the name, but also the recipe.
Did you miss her bacon crackers?
Or perhaps her Dorito casserole?
What about a dump cake?
I am telling you this girl is going to take over my blog.
It’s so nice to have a BF that loves to cook, is a true blue Southern belle, and one of the nicest friends you can have.
First you have to start with Lay’s wavy chips. They have to be the wavy kind in order for this scientific break through to work.
I have never seen Caramel bits have you? I probably could have eaten this entire bag.
And did someone say chocolate too?
Pecans, say what?
And put it all together…
and you now have the cure all chip!!
Check out my recipe archives while you are here.
Pin it and Make them later:)
Here is the recipe on the how to.
Thanks for stopping over today. If you are not a regular I would love to have you.

These look amazing. I bet the sweet and salty combination is delicious. I recently saw on another blog a recipe for rice krispie treats made with chips instead.

Oh boy, how wonderful!!

Just out of curiosity, why the Crisco? I kinda vowed never to buy it again. Can I just melt the chocolate without it? REALLY want to make these 🙂
debbiedoo's
I think because it makes a tad creamier when drizzling it over the chips. Plus, my friend is southern, nuff said!
Laurian
Hi there! The Crisco helps the consistency for drizzling but also allows it to remain solid when it cools. Debs right though…. Crisco is a southerner cooks kitchen staple!! 🙂 does wonders lol

Do these keep for any time? I am going to Parents Day at my sons fraternity – it’s a day of tailgating (we never actually go see the game 😉 and we all bring something for potluck lunch (which is probably better then a bunch of college boys cooking for us)…this year we fall in the dessert category – so I’m trying to come up with something that says “tailgate” but is creative and different than the brownies all the others will bring 😉 BUT – I need to make them ahead of time (like Thursday night as we have to travel Friday to get there and the party is Sat.) SO – long way to the question – will they keep for 2 days? Thanks for any info 🙂

I would say NO..they would get mushy with all the toppings. I do have a slutty brownie recipe that I am telling you the kids will LOVE! Plus you can tell them they are slutty lol!! They will love the name as well. Here is the link to those:http://www.debbie-debbiedoos.com/2014/02/how-to-make-slutty-brownies.html
Carol
THANKS!!! Especially for understanding that I’m one of ‘those moms’ that has to cook to impress 😉 Figured when he went away to college those days were over…thankfully NOPE 🙂
