Pioneer Woman No-Sew Placemat Pillows
Hi, there friends! If you have been around while you know I can’t nor do I sew for the nothing. I don’t even try. As long as I have my handy dandy glue gun or stitch wichery I typically can achieve the same end results
I have been wanting to spruce up the kitchen for awhile now and finally got some motivation in me the other day. I picked up a few super cute placemats from Walmart by the pioneer Woman. It’s hard to find cute round pillows so I thought I could make my own. For under $10.00 I did just that.
Now you may have seen my no-sew Pioneer Woman curtain hack HERE. I have noticed a few months later after that post pretty much went crazy on Pinterest, that Pioneer Woman now makes curtains in her fabulous prints. Let’s see now how long it takes for pillows to be added to her line:)
I had some extra fill left so I made a napkin pillow behind the round one just for added layer, texture, and color. These days I am leaning more toward the modern farmhouse boho look. Our condo HERE is more boho modern and I simply love it. This home is a little more difficult to achieve that look. Not to mention I have had roosters in the kitchen for over 20 years. I will say though I am purging these days and a lot have been tucked away.
For this project, all you will need are two round Pioneer Woman Placemats, a hot glue gun, and a bag of fiberfill. The two placemats were $3.97 each. The fill as mentioned was enough to make two pillows. You can see my previous Pioneer Woman Napkin Pillow HERE. I recommend your hot glue gun be warmed up completely before tackling this job. I hot glued the placemats together in sections and pinched them down to set as I went along. I let it sit for about 5 minutes before I started to stuff the pillow. Be careful not to burn yourself. I am not saying if I did, or did not! Ha, you are the judge.
It’s simple yet cute and adds just a little touch of Farmhouse Boho.
I shopped the house for a new table centerpiece and threw this look together.
I created some new vignettes with things I had as well. I switched out a long red rooster picture I had in this corner and replaced it with an old chippy black shutter I’ve had. That rustic rooster has been painted with chalk paint several times over the years.
I cleaned up my DIY rustic farmhouse shelving and added mostly all blue mason jars, a pyrex bowl, and a few roosters I had. I’m really trying to sparse around here if that is even possible.
