Hey there! Happy Saturday to you! Last Saturday was wonderful! Both weather wise and time spent with family. So much so we even got to enjoy a boat ride out on Lake Wylie. Come a long with me, and I will give you a mini tour!
I am sure many of you have heard of AMWAY? Well this is an “AMWAY” house as we like to call it.
Impeccable. Apparently there are 5 kids that live here and the Mom home schools them all. From all accounts, they have a wonderful reputation of being a very nice family. Never have seen a single soul outside, ever!
You never know what you will see out here on the Lake. This cul de sac of the Lake has weekend Band parties. I guess hundreds of people show up with their boats and tie them all together. There is a live band that performs here. I think we will check it out this summer.
For those of us, who have lawn envy…check this out!
The Azaleas are in full bloom here, and they look so pretty from afar on the Lake.
I thought this was cute. A new tree house for the kiddies. I could live in there!
This home is right down the street from me. The front of it is nothing to speak of…you would never dream this is their backyard. In the summer months it looks like a resort, with chairs all around! It is a gorgeous Lake view too. They are a nice family too…although they never have invited us over..oh well!
Just some random fisherman that were fishing near my friend Cath’s pier. They were super nice and let me snap their picture:)So there you have my neck of the woods.Soon we will be spending a lot of our free time on the Lake.It is a lot of fun! I love where we live! Have a great day!

Great idea for a post, I’m gonna copy you (surprise surprise) this summer. Especially the house you would never know from the back. We have one on our lake from the front looks like a mess because they didn’t want lawn so the whole thing is wildflowers. They wanted the butterflies to have a home. But the back of the house, well looks just like you would expect for lake living. We don’t have any houses that grand on our lake, at least I don’t think so…. I’ll look at them different this summer.

Absolutely a beautiful place right on the water. That house is amazing. I want to be there.

Thanks for the great tour. You live in a gorgeous area! It makes me yearn for Spring here that much more. Now that yard with all that lawn – beautiful! We have an Amway house here along our river. It is huge and very beautiful from the water. It’s always fun to go by it and see what they are up to 😉

Maybe the Amway family got lost in their huge house and can’t find their way out and that is why no one is ever seen outside of the place. Beautiful house, beautiful lawn, elusive family.
Patricia
WOW! Those are some gorgeous homes. We have some like that at Smith Mountain Lake. Well, not we have – there are houses like that!

Wow, it looks to be such a beautiful area! The homes are stunning (although I do not want to clean a house of that size!) Enjoy & send that nice weather up here, will you?

It’s breathtaking. I love houses on the lake. My father used to have a summer house on Lake Arrowhead in California. We loved going up to visit and go boating on the lake. You can see people’s backyard so much better from there and boy, were they gorgeous. These homes you have here are awesome. This was a great post. Got me thinking about summer and how much I love it. Thanks.

Hello Debbie, I miss you! I subscribe to your posts but the comment section doesn’t show up…just the post so I clicked on your old link and got re-directed here. What a gorgeous area that is, those homes are amazing! I love lakes, we always went to the lake when we lived in Canada:) You should definitely go and check out the live band, it sounds like it would be a good time!
Have a wonderful weekend:)

Oh Debbie, That is so beautiful. What a neat place for your boys to live and play. I bet you and the boys tan well. Not so sure about about Michael, he might burn. Oh, I forgot, he knows how to prevent that. Hugs for you and the family, Ginger

Hi Debbie,
Wow! That is one cool looking house. *My husband’s dream house is to live on a lake. The Blues Brothers props make me wish I was invited to their parties:) My uncle worked for AMWAY.

We lived on a lake in Florida and loved it…When we relocated to NC we could not find any lake property in the area we wanted to live…We live across the street from Lake Jordan..a gorgeous lake, but the Army Corps does not allow any new homes on the lake…So had to settle across the lake on a golf course lot…I prefer a lake at it is so peaceful and you do not hear the hum of the golf carts!!..
Your lake is beautiful….
Kathryn
Those houses are amazing! I love the lake life and better get used to it since it is the land of 10,000 lakes! We aren’t going to live on one even though that would be nice, but we did find our home! I will be blogging about it soon!
Dawn
Some very grand homes, with beautiful yards. They would did if they saw my country grass, I mean weeds, LOL.
Beautiful photos Debbie and so nice that you live that close to the lake to enjoy it:) So glad you are back in my reader.
Terrie
Stunning ! Azaleas are particularly amazing. All in high spirit now that spring has sprung.
Mary
I enjoyed the tour of your lake side homes very much! That is one grand home for sure, although I have heard lawn experts say you are supposed to mow your lawn on the diagonal for optimal growth. Not sure why but that’s what I heard. I guess their gardner hasn’t heard that one. LOL! Now that (house of blues) home sounds like it might be quite the fun and interesting spot to check out sometime. Let us know how that goes too!

So beautiful! I love all the azaleas in SC… do you ever drive down to Summerville for the Azalea festival? I’m from Summerville and was just thinking this weekend how much I miss all the Azaleas! What a beautiful lake, do your boys like fishing?

My younger boy loves to fish. We have been through summerville but only on our way down to Charleston for a stop for lunch. I love the Azaleas and I bet it is beautiful!
