Hey, hey there!
thanks for stopping by today!~
Today I am sharing the HOW to mod podge on Terra cotta pots.
There is not a whole lot to it, so don’t expect this full blown step by step tutorial.
So here are the deets.
SUPPLIES:
Old cook book
scissors,
Mod podge
Terra cotta pot
fabric if your project includes such.
I always section off my pot at a time.
In other words, just use your mod podge sparingly on a section.
Adhere your pages
brush and smooth over the pages as you go along.
You can cut recipes, and just keep layering your pot until you get the look you are going for.
Of course, a little burlap and flower always completes any project I do.
I forget the name of this plant..but they are pretty hardy and hard for me to kill.
A little pot like this, takes not time at all.
Hope you try it sometime.
You may check out my Gallery of Mod podge projects for more inspiration.
Have a great weekend!
XO

I love it! Where did you get your scale? I need one for my house to decorate too. 🙂

Found the scale at a local antique mart here. You can find them, they are pretty much everywhere now.

I love this idea, Debbie! I thought of something similar using colored wrap paper, crumpled to give it some nice texture. But with newspaper/recipe book looks even better! 😉 I like the flower, but I would use a paper bow!

This is really a great idea, Debbie, I’ve never thought of decoupaging terra cotta pots before…and there are lots of them at garage sales! Fun!

This turned out fabulous, Debbie! Love it! I have an entire pile of pots just sitting out back…hmmm….:)
Thanks for the great idea!
Jen
I am curious, since the terra cotta gets wet when you water the plant does the decoupage still stay attached? Do you think this would work on an outdoor pot if you use the outdoor kind of mode podge? Thanks for your help!
debbiedoo's
Hi Jen, I have never used the outdoor modge, but considering that is what it is made for I would read the label. I would assume that would be a yes:)
