Good day to you all! Each holiday season, we all spend a considerable amount of time going to holiday parties.
Today, I am sharing a hostess gift made thoughtful and delicious.
I don’t know about you but with all good intention I like to bring the hostess a little gift of thanks. Figuring out what to bring for the party hostess can be a daunting task that ultimately ends with the purchase of the traditional bottle of wine or box of chocolates.
Admittedly, it probably is not the most thoughtful of idea, although much appreciated. Let’s face it, it’s easy and we are busy. We all know what it takes to prepare for entertaining. First the cleaning of the house for days before hand. Then shopping for the food, thinking of some creative recipes and then setting up your dining room or kitchen counters for the food arrangements. We want everything to look nice at least initially when they walk in.
The next day we are pretty exhausted and want to do nothing. The intention behind Give Bakery Because is to ponder giving the ultimate hostess gift. You know how you feel the next day after entertaining. Pretty shot! You just want to put your feet up on the couch and kick back and watch your favorite shows.
Your local grocery store always carries fresh baked goods. These are delicious and save us the hassle of making something home made if time is not on your side.
Of course we just don’t want to hand over our hostess baked goods in the plastic packaging. Let’s get a little creative with this! You may just have most of the items you need to make the ultimate hostess gift idea. A basket and some fillers to go along with your store bought bakery goods is all you need.
Now lets get creative and make a pretty hostess basket gift idea. In the end it may cost you a little extra than that bottle of wine, but the memory of the gift will last a lot longer.
First let’s wrap our goodies in some saran wrap to keep them fresh.
You can use any material you have on hand and wrap them up with a simple ribbon.
The Dollar tree always has cute little buckets and baskets that you can pick up to have on hand for hostess gift baskets.
An inexpensive candle dressed up with seasonal ribbons.
Put it all together and you truly have the Ultimate hostess gift of not only gifting made delicious, but gifting made thoughtful for most gracious host. She truly will enjoy this the next morning when she is completely zonked! Thanks for stopping over today! This post is brought to by Give Bakery Because.

Smart idea, Debbie. I love to take a little hostess gift, too. When I go at Christmas time, I often add a little hand painted ornament that I make. xo Diana
