Hey there everyone! Today, I was thinking I would share with you some of my favorite things. These are the perfect Holiday picks I swear by.
They can be a gift to you, or to that special someone. Everything I am sharing I have used for years and can attest I truly do love them. Once you find that perfect something, why change now?
Some of the picks are even great for teenagers with skin problems, scars from acne, or even from the chicken pox. I can’t swear they will take scars away because a scar is a scar. It may leave them less noticeable though.
Around ten years ago I contracted the chicken pox. As an adult it was a complete nightmare. I had an outbreak from head to toe, from back to front. My face was not spared at all. I had at least 20 of them on my face. That was scary. I have seen those pox mark scars and they are deep.
I have been using Neutrogena skin cleanser for years, and I swear it is the best. However, when I had the outbreak I knew I needed something in a skin peel and perhaps a little more specific for outbreaks.
Aside from the wrinkles, my skin itself is clear:)
This is my favorite Neutrogena skin cleanser. It’s pretty universal for all skin types.
But this here skin line was the mac daddy for me when in some serious need.
Philosophy makes a complete line. In fact, I believe you can buy a starter kit with a little bit of everything in it. I used their facial cleanser, the peel, and their hope in a jar for 6 months faithfully. I am happy to report, not one chicken pox scar on my face. Oddly, in other places, like my shoulder and stomach but the ole face was spared.
Now lets talk about those chompers! I have not had a cavity in well over 25 years. I go to the Dentist every six months for a teeth cleaning. The Dentist and hygienist at my last appointment told me whatever I am doing, keep up the good work. My four front teeth are porcelain veneers which are 14 years old already. I paid a lot of money back then for those teeth. It was very important and imperative to take care of them. I had no choice to have to get those veneers. That is another story. I would not recommend diving head first in a 3 ft. pool with braces on at 14 years old. Let’ s just say, I am lucky to be alive. My teeth took a hit though.
The Dentist told me they look good as new and he never sees that after this long.
I told you as well, my favorite tooth paste is Ultra-Brite sold at the Dollar tree. I suppose the key to good oral hygiene is simply brush and floss as recommended. I also do not drink any soda and have not in many years. Once in a great while a Diet coke calls my name.
Sonic care tooth brush is the best! Truly, it cleans and massages your gums like no other ordinary tooth brush can do.
I highly recommend. Another great gift idea for that teenager that just got their braces off, or the soon to be College student. We bought our son one before he left and he loves it. His teeth look awesome.
Best hair conditioner ever! Not much to say other than it really does make your hair shiny and soft. Loves it.
For all you lovely ladies out there. I hate to tell you this, but you do have a hair or two on your chinny chin chin. You just can’t see it unless you have this scary magnifying mirror. Get it, please, you will see things you never knew you had. But don’t fret, this will save you the embarrassment of your husband seeing it first. My husband is the one who bought me the mirror…hint hint!
My all time favorite perfume is Chanel Mademoiselle. Been wearing it for years and years now. I get told I smell good at least twice a week. Mostly by random strangers and of course my friends always tell me that too. It just agrees with me I suppose. Try it!! It is pricey but the bottle lasts me a year or longer. One squirt will do.
Everyone needs a crock pot. If you do not have one…I ask you why? This is the season to be cooking up all those yummy comfort food recipes.
Then there is this simple classic flannel shirt. Flannel is huge this year. It’s always in style. I have several flannels that are so comfy and so cute. I would recommend a size larger than your normal size. I like to wear a tank or tee underneath. Plus, it’s just more comfy a little larger. Looks great with a pair of classic knee high boots and jeans.
My last pick I have only had for a few weeks. I am absolutely in love with this lightweight and very user friendly camera. Being a blogger, a lot of us have the DSLR camera’s which are a huge investment. However, when traveling and every day use I find my DSLR to be quite heavy around my neck. I did my homework on a lightweight, and comparable to a DSLR quality camera and came up with this one. The neat thing is you can program it to go to your social media and send the pics directly to there when you want. That is just one of the many little perks about this lightweight camera. Like I said, I did my homework and this camera had the best rave reviews for the price point. It is under $400.00. I chose the silver color. It comes in black, white or silver. This was my Christmas present to me:)
These are pictures taken at the Billy Joel concert from the nose bleed section. I set the camera to night images and snap- snap- snap, they turned out awesome! Absolutely NO editing involved.
I am not getting paid to tout any of these above products. Just things I have been using and love and thought I would pass them on to you. I am leaving you all the affiliate links below from Amazon. Amazon typically has the best prices and there shipping is super fast. Especially if you are a Prime member. There are times it is at my door the very next day. Thanks Debbie for your ‘favs list’; I’m in need of a new conditioner so am gonna take your advice. Also the Neutogena scrub sounds like it could help this old face ( with a lota luck lol). Flannel…..well there’s just nothing better!! I’ve been wearing flannel for well…let’s see….probably 60 years now. Sounds awful, but it’s true. I grew up on a farm so flannel was the everyday shirt. I never outgrew my love for it. Now they make such cute and pretty patterns; love the plaids & checks. Thanks again and have a great week.
