Hey there everyone!
We are coming down to the wire now with Christmas right around the corner.
YOWZA, I still haven’t finished up things yet.
Don’t know about you, but when I am invited to someones home, of course I like to bring them a little something. Usually the standard seems to be a bottle of wine, which is also a nice gift, however, if you want to do something a little more personal I have a Holiday hostess gift idea for you today.
I bought these glass jars at Walgreens on sale for a dollar a piece. I thought I could fill them with some home made peppermint bark, however that did not last very long in our house, so I had to have a plan B.
I love the chalk board gift tags I scored as well. This pack cost $1.49 and you can personlize them any which way. I of course chose to stencil.
I bought this beautiful candy mold from Home goods and I was so excited to try it out. Would the candy really look like these pretty molds?
Well, they do. I was so happy when I popped them out of the molds to see how they looked.
Melt chocolate accordingly
fill molds
and freeze for about 10-15 minutes.
I may try to do mini bite sized cupcakes next.
You can even add flavoring to the chocolate, peppermint, almond, vanilla, whatever little dab you would like.
Fill your jar accordingly,
add your personal tag, and you have the perfect hostess gift.
I did fill this jar all the way to the top by the way. I just wanted you to be able to see how they look in the jar.
My tags are nice and neat opposed to me writing in chalk, which would be a disasterous look.
Add a tea towel to go with if you like.
You can even diy your own Holiday tea towel as I did a few weeks ago.
The chocolate was wonderful too btw. You must sample a piece or two.
And just a little something I could make for you to print and frame.
Thank you for your visit today!
I share all things, thrifty home decor, crafts and a recipe or two on occasion.
If you would like to commit to becoming a subscriber, I would love for you to join me.
