Hey, hey there everyone!
Today, I am hoping you can help a girl out.
In fact, I know you can
that is why I am asking.
Our kitchen has been needing a new hardware update for some time.
I need a lot of knobs around 50 total, including drawer pulls!
It’s a tedious job, however, one that I know makes a difference.
Oh and it can be a tad costly too depending on what you choose.
Home depot has a great selection
and these are some I had in mind.
Our lighting is a brushed bronze sort of color.
Our appliances are stainless steel along with the faucet.
I have no problem mixing and matching the two and in fact, like the look better myself.
What we are sportin in here now is a brushed silver simple oval knob.
B O R I N G
Our cabinets are a gorgous Hickory wood
with undertones of reds
As you can see in this photo the crown molding is a a different tone than the cabinets.
Judging by this photo you see I like thrifty home decor
and this old window turned chalkboard sort of sets the tone for that.
Home depots hardware choices were are pretty reasonable.
So here are my choices that I narrowed down for you to help me with.
Home depot will be my go to.
In fact, I did not even have to go anywhere just yet, their on line website
is fantastic and I found some of these options below..
1.
Liberty Harmon 1-⅜ in. Oil-Rubbed Bronze Cabinet Hardware Knob
2.
Amerock Inspirations 1-¼ in. Diameter Oil-Rubbed Bronze Finish Knob
3.
Amerock Bird Cage Village Knob in Oil-Rubbed Bronze Finish
4.
Hickory Hardware Deco Oil-Rubbed Bronze 1 in. Knob
5.
Liberty 2-½ in. Davidson Cup Cabinet Hardware Pull
and I think these would be great complimentary drawer pulls to go with the Weathered Antique bronze
These last ones here are my favorite, however they are also the pricest of the bunch at $4.22 a knob.
So what do you think?

I like number 4 myself!! Quick question I love your light over the sink about how far down does it drop from the ceiling?
debbiedoo's
Probably about 3ft. Thanks for your input.
Anita
I love 4 and 5 Debbie, and I will say that I bought my cup pulls new online at ebay because they were *much* cheaper than the ones at Lowes here.
debbiedoo's
This is Home dept Anita…thanks!~
Anita
I only mentioned Lowes because they are usually similar in price and inventory to HD, and that is where I priced mine before getting them online for much less.
Kris
So funny Deb, just reading these comments! I love number two! Good luck! Your kitchen is fabulous!

I like No. 4 and the drawer pull, I can’t wait to see it all done!
Angela
I agree with the majority right now…..number 4 with the drawer pulls! Have a great week!!~~Angela

I am loving No.4,Good luck.

I like the rustic Laurey Windsor. They would add a lot to your kitchen. I don’t recommend the birdcage if you cook a lot, as food will get inside the cage and be more difficult to clean. As for cup pulls, they look great, but they are tricky to install and you will have to drill 2 new holes, probably 3″ apart and you’ll have to stick with the same size drawer pulls forever. 3″ on center is the most common size drawer pull so only get them if they are that size.(it’s how far apart the screws are) Try finding cabinet hardware online, sometimes you can find them cheaper.

Thanks Pam..those are my favs too. I really love the rustic look. I thought about the drawer pulls and difficulty as well. Thanks for the input.

I love the ones you have on there now. 🙂

Hi Debbie,
I have to jump on the band wagon for number #4. They are all great so whatever one you pick it will look wonderful. It is amazing how a door knob on a cabinet and pulls on the drawers can change the whole look. I can’t wait to see it when you get them done.

My knobs need updating. I did so about 12 years ago, and they are due again.

I love number four the most, but I really like all of them. I really like the cup pulls or whatever they’re called. I’m planning to replace the ones I painted in my recent redo for those on the drawers. (Why I didn’t do it from the get go is so stupid. I mean, really… it’s just five pulls for cryin’ out loud.
Ugh.
And I LOVE that chalkboard window there. If I saw the post, I’ve already forgotten it so I’m going to clickity click and see. This is why I stay so far behind in blog land. I try to catch up and go link crazy. Ha!
Pat
I think #4, then #1. The birdcage is a bit “busy” I think plus stuff getting inside it. I’m one for simplicity in these items and then decorating with the fun stuff! I know whatever you choose will be beautiful ~

Deb
All gorgeous choices for your kitchen…hard to choose but I guess that is the case with all decorating decisions!
Debbie
I can’t choose a favourite! They all look great. We’ll be doing a makeover in our kitchen…soon I hope! I’ll be replacing the knobs & pulls, we have a lot, too. I’m going to check Home Depot’s online selection, maybe I can get a head start on that part.
Thanks Debbie! 🙂
Cynthia
I am alone in this choice, I think I like number 5. Good luck, Debbie, whatever you pick will look great!

Those are my fav too Cynthia! Thank you.

I like #s 1 and 5. And maybe you could put the birdcage or the cup pulls on just a few cupboards that you don’t use as often as an accent.
debbiedoo's
I was thinking perhaps that may be the way to go. Thanks Anita.
Kim Banta
I love #5. Rustic and would be gorgeous with the cabinets.
debbiedoo's
Thank you Kim….seems to be my fav, but only a few others so far:) Thanks for your input.

Hi Debbie! I vote for #2 as the vines go nicely with the ones you have stenciled around the sink area ceiling. The color also appeals to me. I also like #5 because of the aged quality.Question: are you going to sell any of your old knobs? If so, can you please let me know? I have 12 (I think) cabinets and 5 drawers but could takie more. Just let me know when you decide what to do with them – thanks! Hugs, Leena
debbiedoo's
True, but if you know me Leena, those vines won’t be there forever LOL!

Hello Debbie.
I’m voting for #4 and 5. Hardware makes such a BIG difference.
Blessings,
Linda

I know, I am excited for the change!

I like the look of #2 to go with your kitchen. It kind of has the feel of “chicken tracks” if you will, I realize that it is a vine print but with your whole rooster thing going on and the lovely warm feel to your kitchen; I thought the chicken foot prints would work. Just a thought…

No 3 is going to give you the most different ; look
Take a look at the knobs that are hand painted on sale
Southern Living at HOME//Willow House lovers
They had pulls but now I think just knobs and hooks
I got knobs and pulls and hooks for my bedroom. That will just add another option
#3 they sold out of the knobs I got but they still have these $4.00 for 4 of them
http://cathirafalski.store.willowhouse.com/product.aspx?zpid=6206 yummy red take a look you have some red in your cabinets.
Hugs Lisa

I love the finish on all of them, Debbie. Since some of them are round, what if you spray painted your existing knobs with some Oil Rubbed Bronze and use a little Rub N Buff around the outside edge. Even if you add some pulls in to mix it up, it would be a little less expensive. I remember wanting to do our kitchen cabinet knobs in our old house and after estimating cost, I decided they were just fine as they were. : )
debbiedoo's
Not a bad idea Kathy!
kim
I would do #4 on the doors and #5 on the drawers. That would look good mixed.
Daniela @frugal ain't cheap
5 and 6 are super cool. 5 for the doors and 6 for the drawers…but they are all very pretty. My mother in law has #3 in her kitchen and I love them too
linda
i like 1# and 5# i think would look nice with the light fixtures and the hickory wood
Sharon
I love the Laurey Windsor and the cup pulls together. They would give you that aged, found look that you like. We installed a mix of knobs and pulls awhile back. Of course, installing the cup pulls took a little more effort, but once I made a template, I was able to mark off all of the drawers and my husband came behind me and installed. The pulls we chose were 3″, so they are standard and could easily be changed if we, or a future homeowner wished. I had wanted pulls for a really long time, so I thought it was worth the effort.
I aslo think you’d like the knob with the vine on it. It’s whimsical like you. 🙂
Can’t wait to see what you do!
Martina
I like # 4 & 5 together but I really like # 3 too!
shirley@housepitalitydesigns
Hey Debbie…I vote for #5..I love the rustic feel of that knob!
Judy
Hi Debbie, Yikes! I love the top two in the last pic. That would be a little over $200 for knobs, but you know you get what you pay for and they would look fantastic..Happy Friday..Judy
