Hope you are all well.
Today I am sharing our guest room ideas on a budget
Today I am sharing our guest room cleaned and refreshed.
Perhaps give you some Guest room ideas. I picked some golden rod and put it in a vase. I thought it was so pretty.
Turns out it is NOT an allergen after all.
I love the look of wild flowers anywhere.
All I did to refreshen the guest room was clean.
I had this owl pillow for a few years now.
I believe I bought it at Kirklands.
I love the burlap art I found at a local antique mall.
This gal had quite a few that she made and the prices were very reasonable.
Less than $20.00 for them.
How easy though make these yourself!
I love this quote on burlap
My very first painting on glass with Mod podge and rit dye vase is being put to use.
It looks perfect in the guest room for Fall.
Oh if you happened to notice the drum shade for the ceiling fan, I did that back a few years ago and you can check out the deets.
The bedroom furniture was also painted with Annie Sloan duck egg blue chalk paint a few years back when it first came here.
Holding up very well!
Oh and before you ask, the bedding came from World Market a few years ago. I LOVE their bedding!
Hope you found some inspiring ideas for your guest bedroom.

Looks great, Debbie. I was wanting to bring in some goldenrod, too. It’s so pretty. Those burlap pieces look wonderful in the vintage frames which makes them look more expensive. I think they would hard to make for $20 unless you already have the frames lying around.

Yes, unless you have the frames already. You can always swap out other art work and make these too. Thanks Kim!

Beautiful, Debbie! Love the owl pillow and the burlap art (you’re right … a fun project!) … and, the pops of yellow are perfect this time of year! Your guests won’t want to leave!

It looks very inviting, Debbie! I never had allergies until after I turned 40 and now I have them in the Spring and Fall {seasonal}. I am slowly moving into our guest bedroom to get some painting done. Now that we moved our old bed and headboard in here, it is more of a prod to paint that and the armoire I’ve been putting off.

Beautiful ! Love the burlap wall art , Might have to try some myself 🙂

I love your guest room!! BTW…it’s not goldenrod that causes allergies. It’s ragweed! So enjoy your goldenrod! Did you use AS chalk paint on the bed? If so, which color? I love it and have an armoire in my bedroom I want to do.

I thought it was the same thing LOL. yes that is AS CHalk paint and I meant to link that, thanks for the reminder. Here is the link. That is duck egg blue. My first paint job with it.http://www.debbie-debbiedoos.com/2011/03/black-furniture-painted-duck-egg-blue-with-annie-sloan-chalk-paint.html

Hi there,
Loved your guest room!!! That quote is beautiful and I may have to “borrow” it!
Thank you for posting!

PS: Ragweed is usually the culprit for allergys…..you have goldenrod and even though they grow together fairly often, the goldenrod is not much of an allergen by itself.

What a happy guest room. I love to stay in a guest room that is bright and colorful. I always wake up in the guest mood! The saying made me teary eyed! Such a lovely touch!

You did a wonderful job on your guest room, thanks for sharing your ideas. I’ve got a room I’m working on right now. And I love that burlap sign. The message is SO precious, I think I might make one. 🙂
Debbie
Love the room as a whole and all the little touches. I technically have a guest room now, but it still sits there as if a daughter lived in it. When I do get ready to transform it, I would like it to have the feel that yours does. I love that quote over the bed.
And… beautiful goldenrod is NOT an allergen?? What?? Do you mean to say that I’ve been driving by longing to pluck up some and bring it into the house for all these years, and I could have done it????
This Debbie is heading to the roadside today. Thanks.
Cynthia
Love the touches in your guest room. Really like the owl pillow and the vase the goldenrod is in. I have horrible allergies in the fall but it is still my favorite season!

Hi Debbie,
So nice to meet you!
Your pretty guest room is so very welcoming and warm! I was immediately struck by the colour of the furniture and the cheery patterns in the bedding! Isn’t it amazing how the simplicity of wildflowers bring an earthy ambiance to a space? Sharing the room with this happy owl would be a hoot of a time!
Thanks so much for your sweet comments on my guest post!
