Hi there!
Today I am sharing a Goodwill shelf transformation with spray paint and Annie Sloan Old white chalk paint.
Here is my half price shelf before….looked really beat up and had some random screws in it that I had to remove and fill with puddy.
Loved it!
However, it still needed a little more..
so I used some left over OLD white Annie sloan chalk paint
and painted over the blue, and lightly distressed it.
I really love to thrift and turn trash into treasure.
This shelf serves such a cute display per season for the TV room.
which is my boys hang out room actually.
hence the family rules.
Curtains are from World Market
And here you can see how the blue peeks through after lightly distressing.

Oh that’s the cutest thing!! Love what you did with the flowers too. Love the photo frame. Wish we had a big Goodwill or SA here to go to. I have to plan a trip to Asheville to get anything except Walmart and CVS. Lots of Internet shopping though!!
Home's Where My Heart Is
Love the shelf!! I am uploading my pics now..dinner, movie, then time to link up. I can’t wait to show you 🙂

Good Morning Debbie,
You totally scored on that shopping trip!! I do love what you did with the shelf! I was surprised to see that you used the Bahama Sea paint on it–exactly the color I just finished painting one of our lawn chairs. I bought 4 different colors of that Krylon paint and love the way it turned out. Have you tried the Watermelon–it is exactly the color of Pink Flamingos!!
Thanks for stopping by the farmhouse for a visit. We love having company!
Jacque
and, I forgot to say…Happy Anniversary!! Your pics were wonderful. Wait til you celebrate your 43rd…which we will be doing on June 16th!! Would love to see what you post about that one…LOL
Feeling Just Right
Love the yellow paint! Very fun photographs of the kids too!
Sailing Simply
Mmmm! I like the new color! Sounds so vactioney! LOL!
Your display shelf and vignette are so cute. I like the flowers, but I really love the letter. I always see letters and like them but never can see them on the wall in my home anywhere. The way you have this letter paired with the rest of this display really makes it for me! Very Nice!

Hi Debbie, Yay, I finally made it to the party! I am not a tag sale ‘n or thrift shopping kinda girl but in the last two weeks that has changed and I’m loving SA and GW! This is all your fault, Debbie. I bought this piece, which is undoubtedly wonderful, so that I could show you on your link party. Now I think I’m going to have to decorate an entire room around it (haha). Thank you for allowing me to link!

I like that color of blue! Maybe I should consider it for the bench I just bought. Our GW never has 1/2 off sales- in fact, their prices are so high- they could be retail! It is rare to find good prices. I remember those types of wooden flowers from the eighties! LOL
Thanks for hosting the par-tay!

I love this blog because it inspires me! I’m visiting everyone because this my favorite thing to do – blog hop crafters who know what they’re doing. I can’t believe you did a cheap second hand shelf and wooden flowers is amazing! I love it all.

I just found your blog and Garage sale linky! Thank goodness! I am addicted to yard sales and post my haul every week. I had asked if anyone knew of a yard sale meme in my post for this week. You will hear from me every week. Where in the Carolinas are you located? I live in York, SC.

You did well! I love Krylon..I use a ton of it to redo the wicker for the porch. Should have bought stock!
I couldn’t link to your party..I am forbidden 🙂 to go to yard sales..and the thrift shops here are not very thrifty!
But I will check out some of the other entries..
