Hi there everyone!
Today I am sharing an easy step by step diy stenciled burlap banner.
One day last week, on my husbands day off, I decided to drag him to Hobby Lobby!
I know what a lucky guy right?
I went into Hobby lobby with one thing in mind. It was a canvas for my Magazine copy cat challenge.
I walked out with much more than I anticipated. Mike was not too thrilled with the spree, however, once we were home and put my big purchase in place, he was in the end!
More on that soon.
I loved that I saw these cute burlap banner flags already cut. In my opinion burlap is a pain to cut and it makes a mess too.
I bought a new stencil, as I loved the font.
Everything looks cute embellished!
I used clothes pins and hung them on twine.
Jack asked me the other day, what is up with everything being in Spanish lately?
I don’t know, I guess it adds interest, and confusion to some….
besides, I like the language, I think it is so pretty.
Familia!
better known as Family!
XO
Thanks for stopping by today!
Check out my other ideas while you are here. Hope to see you back again soon.
That is adorable, Debbie…I love it! I think it looks so pretty embellished with the flowers.
(I’m amazed that you found precut burlap flags. Someone was really thinking when they came up with that idea.)
My comment is missing…it’s all very mysterious.
Anyway…let me start again…
That banner is adorable…I love it! I think it looks so pretty embellished with the flowers.
I’m amazed that you found precut burlap flags. Someone was really thinking when they came up with that product!

Ooh, I love how this turned out! (Did you say pre-cut burlap?). Wonderful job, Debbie!
This is so cute, Debbie! I didn’t know HL had pre-cut burlap… You’re right, very messy and a pain to cut. Totally LOVE what you did with it! 🙂
Those are creative pieces, Debbie! Love the flowers on each piece as it added such a nice and fancy touch.

A foreign language totally make it interesting.

That is so charming, Debbie! I LOVE how you found pre-cut banners and the flowers! My kind of project!
Debbie, this project is so pretty!!! I love that you did it in Spanish! Very pretty! I know what you mean about HL. I just keep getting myself in trouble! You can NOT go in there and just get one thing! I get lost in the stencils and craft paint area for hours! LOL
Hi Debbie: That is outstanding. I love that they were cut out already. Where did you get those flowers you used? Did I miss a post about them? Your photos look great too..Happy Mother’s Day..Judy
VERY cute banner! Hey, you mentioned that you went to Hobby Lobby to get a canvas for your (April ?) Magazine Copy Cat Challenge initially. Have you planned another MCCC? I asked my husband when I could go to part-time at work and he said “When you quit going to Hobby Lobby so much!”.
Will keep you posted on the date for the next one!
My first thought was that I had missed another copy cat challenge. I don’t think you’ve scheduled the next one, have you?
You really accomplished something in my book by getting a husband into Hobby Lobby. Mine acts as if I’m sending him into the bra department or something when I ask him to go there. Irks the stew out of me.
Love your burlap banner, and I agree about the cutting of it. That’s really cute!
Thanks Debbie! I have not scheduled the next magazine copy cat challenge yet…I will keep you posted.
That is one stinkin’ cute banner. You are so creative when it comes to the little details!
That is really cute Debbie! I hate cutting burlap too. How nice that it was already cut for you!!! Great idea!
Love the burlap banner. I was just a Hobby Lobby a week ago and I saw those banners, too. I instagrammed them 🙂
Thanks for the awesome project.
blessings,
karianne
So, you know……. I love this one. I can do this one. Maybe you need to amend the copy cat challenge to either a magazine OR a DebbieDoo copy?

I love it Debbie!!! However, I must add, that I could NEVER get my husband to come with me to Hobby Lobby!!! EVER!!!! Your husband is a good man!
XO Kris
That is so neat. I agree with you the font is beautiful. Glad you got to skip the mess with the burlap.
