Decorating with Ivy
One blog you do not come to for Garden inspiration is Debbiedoo’s!
Now don’t get me wrong, I can show you inspiring pictures, and on occasion have some pretty flowers of my own.
Oh, and I can share my Mom’s gorgeous gardens as I have in the past
With that being said...I can grow me some IVY! This is a new discovery for me.
It started last Spring when I planted a few small Ivy plants in these urns.
{I am probably bragging over nothing right?} We can all grow IVY..but flatter me would ya!
Hard to believe it survived winter. Grant you, we have had a mild one.
Yesterday I threw in some Viola’s and we shall see how well they do.
I decided I would bring more Ivy into the home. I love the pop of color, texture and warmth it brings.
I found the cutest bright yellow metal colander at Marshals the other day.
I knew I wanted to keep it out for my Spring/Summer decor…
but what to put in it?
Cute idea, don’t you think?
It will get plenty of sunlight near our kitchen windows.
I added a little grass to the mix.
I am soooo ready for Spring in case you have not noticed.
Then while I was at it, I added another ivy plant to this silver ice bucket I bought at a garage sale for a buck or two last summer.
Never cleaned it, and I have no intentions of cleaning it either. I like it yucked up like this.
And this live Ivy is also near our entry way and gets plenty of morning sunlight.
We will have to readdress this post in around 6 months, so we can track the progress of the indoor ivy.
I LOST MY COMMENTS ON THIS POST! Show me some love again!

Wow! I really really love this post… each each picture is gorgeous! I love how the ivy looks in each container, especially in that gorgeous urn by the door… beautiful! And the burlap wrapped ivy on that table with the lamp and mirror is also my favorite. Thanks for sharing these creative ways to display ivy. Have a wonderful day!~Poppy

The silver ice bucket container is lovely. I love your ivy by your front door.
