Hey there everyone!
What started off slow for me in the Christmas decorating has now gone full throttle ahead. That’s how I operate. I drag my feet, and then they take off faster than the rest of me!
Continuing on the Dollar tree crazed state, today I am sharing our Christmas Mantel with a twist…and tie.
If you follow me on facebook, I shared with you the other day while I took my almost daily trip to the dollar tree story. About a week ago I picked up some Christmas ties.
Our younger son asked me what the heck I was doing with some cheesy Christmas ties.
{I said I am making you wear it to school come Monday morning} ha!
Actually, I told him, I have no clue what I am doing with these.
However, I have a thought!
Light bulb moment at the Dollar tree🙂
How about instead of the Traditional Christmas stockings on the mantel, this year I do the cheesy Dollar tree music neck ties.
The Pine garland came from Michael’s and the pretty tri-colored vintage beads came from Home Goods.
Put it all together,
and well
You have a whimsical Christmas mantel, that I would say is one of kind.
That is unless you were at the Dollar tree the day I was and exclaimed my idea. Some patrons there loved it and started buying up the neck ties.
That’s about all I can show you for now, because I am working on my Charlie Brown Christmas tree which is right next to the mantel.
It’s all about the snowman this year.
The snowman hat I just found at the Southern Christmas show.
The HO HO HO blocks also came from Home Goods back a few years ago.
The stickers on the Fireplace screen are also from the Dollar tree. They are so sparkly and fun!
The snowman you see hanging there also came from the Dollar tree. I am totally obsessed with that place. HUH, you act like that’s a bad thing!
Have a holly jolly Christmas! Now get running to the Dollar tree. Don’t forget to mark your calendars for December 6th where there will be a Huge Dollar tree Christmas blast off party.
If you are not a regular here I sure would love to see you back again.
Feel free to rummage through my Christmas archives of budget friendly decor and craft ideas.

Really unique idea Debbie! i would never have thought of using Christmas ties like that – very cute. Decorating is going very slowiy hear because I have a horrible COLD and have been too miserable to do anything. Can’t wait to see you snowman tree. Have fun.

I love your mantle. You are so clever and I love the ties hanging down. I love those ho ho ho blocks. And that snowman hat is to die for. Gotta find me one for a project. I am just crazy about your dog.

After my husband passed I downsized to a four foot table top tree. I placed it on one of these 24″ round tables you use a floor length table cloth with. I used a white brocade tablecloth and spaced my husbands Christmas ties like wheel spokes around the table. Wish I had a picture for you.

How cool! I wish you did too Ann.
