Burlap bells and Ribbon Christmas cone trees!
So excited to share and be a part of the FloraCraft team.
Say that 5 times fast! Burlap, bells and ribbon…
It sure is a tongue twister.
Thanks as always for popping in today to see what I am up too.
Another craft with Styrofoam.
Just in case you missed my diy Faux pallet
and my Dyed Styrofoam Halloween project, and my candy corn foam tier, you can catch up on those later. You will want to check them out though, pretty neat, especially the faux pallet.
Supplies needed:
3 Styrofoam cones in different tiered sizes
burlap wired ribbon
Pearl head stick pins
hot glue gun
Chalky paint or craft paint of choice
burlap roll
{the burlap and ribbon also came from FloraCraft}
ribbon of your choice’
embellishments from Dollar tree.
Step 1
Paint cone with chalky paint, let completely dry.
I used a dark brown color so when it peeked through it would go with the decor.
I took the wired ribbon and started at the top. I hot glued the piece and basically did a fold over, stuck a pin,and continued to fold in a downward direction.
In between,
as you can see pinning. There really was no rhyme or reason for the tuck and roll, I just went with it til it looked nice and neat.
I did a row on two opposite ends and in between I cut small burlap squares, did a fold over, and pinned in between the two rows of burlap ribbon until all was covered.
The large cone was the most time consuming, however, it did turn out the prettiest. I topped it as you will see with a dollar tree clip on embellishment.
The second tree. I simply wrapped burlap around it, and pinned in between. Nothing more to it.
The small tree I left mostly unveiled. I did add a sparkly mod podge as you can see a slight pretty glitter effect.
I added some red and green ribbon using the ribbon method {ok that sounded odd}
using the ribbon technique I used above. Start at top and work down folding inward and upward until you reach the bottom.
And here they now reside on our coffee table.
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! See my Holiday burlap pillow in the background. I am starting to get a theme around here if you notice
Aren’t they pretty?
FYI You can purchase the foam products at Walmart now too! FloraCraft carries a nice line of it there as well.
