Boho Fall Rustic Family Room Decorating
Hello there friends. Happy Fall to you all. It sure is getting crisp here in the south and our leaves are starting to change, and fall fast. It’s my all-time favorite season and I only wish it lasted a tad longer.
Today I want to share just a few snaps of our family room decorated for fall. I don’t do much these days in terms of decorating. However, some folks say I do more than them so I suppose it is worth sharing. There were years I did, Fall Trees, Halloween Trees, and kept them up straight until Valentine’s day, of course changing them per the season. My husband didn’t dig that at all LOL!
My husband and I have been doing more little house projects, but not fun ones. We had a water main break, we had to re-seal our decks, get drywall patched, etc. Nothing fun on that front.
These are all part of being a homeowner and tending to a home that is starting to get older. It is hard to believe we have been in this house for almost 16 years. It feels like yesterday.
Decorating isn’t nearly as fun as it used to be for me. Since the boys are gone and it is just Mike and I, I just don’t have the same passion or creativity. It doesn’t make me too sad though because I reflect back on the years that I did enjoy it so much and it brought much joy to my family. It’s about the memories for me.
Maybe I am just getting lazy too and looking for excuses LOL.
Fall Decorating with natural elements is not only free but simple pinecones can be carried right on through up until the winter season. Along with smelling cinnamon sticks. Here is a little trick too. If you have cinnamon essential oil, douce a little on your pine cones. Peppermint would work as well.
The Boho beads and Macrame seem to be staying up all year. I am simply adding a touch of the season to them. I love layering, everything! I even dress in layers, I can’t just wear one necklace:)
I also seem to add twine to a lot of my decor. I like texture and it adds interest. Plus it’s cheap. You can pick up a roll of twine from Walmart and it will last you two years! You can make fun little Twine Flower HERE to add to your decor.
I think that about sums up my Boho Rustic Fall Family Room Decorating for the season, friends! Enjoy the season and I’ll see you again soon.

I love simple holiday decorations and yours look great! I still have 2 teenagers at home, so I still feel like I have to put up a tree and go all out especially for Christmas. Although I will be sad to see my chickadees fly away from the nest, I am looking forward to simplifying the holiday decorations just like you have!!!

I have tried many different ways to decorate my home and I finally found the best one. The Fall Rustic Family Room Decorating is a great way to add some rustic charm into your home. It looks fantastic with any color or style of furniture you may have in your home. You can easily change the look of this room by adding new furniture, wall art, pictures, pillows and rugs if you want to make it more sophisticated.
