Hey there everyone!
With Valentine’s fast approaching, and a day I like to acknowledge not only for myself, but for others as well.
Today I am sharing Bakery Because. Give the gift of Deliciousness.
Hmmm..you are wondering what that means.
Well, not everyone has the time to bake, or perhaps you just do not bake in general.
No need to, you can go to your local grocer and pick up a box of goodness for that someone special, whether it be a teacher, a friend, a co-worker, or your children and even your hubby!
Here’s the the thing though, do you really just want to hand someone a store box of goodies?
Not that they would mind, however it’s all in the presentation, and thought that make it even more special.
Now you may not have time to make a cute little treat dish like I recently made and personalized just for Valentines day.
and that’s OK, you can get creative with some
little gift boxes picked up from your local Dollar tree
They are the perfect little box to add some special grocery baked treats in.
Simply line the bottom of the box with some tissue paper
stack some delicious grocery baked cookies
add a little of the shredded Valentine filler
put the lid on
Stack and tie with a ribbon.
Now that sure is a lot cuter than handing over the box wouldn’t you say?
I actually passed these little gifts forward to complete strangers I recently met through a friend. They were new in town and we were meeting them for the first time. I put the boxes in a cute Valentine’s bag, and handed it to them and said Welcome to the Carolina’s!
Sure made someone smile, just because.
And I would also, say, if you can diy the plate, and add your goodies on top
that sure is lovely!
All I did for that was take some heart tissue paper from the dollar tree trace the plate, cut, mod podge the back of a clear plate and hot glued it to a candle stick that I sparkled up.
Now here’s the really fun part to this post.
This is an actual contest for YOU!
On behalf of Rich’s products I am asking you to share a very short story about a special someone in your life who just makes every day a little better and brighter for you.
I will be picking 3 of my favorite stories and you in turn will win a $25.00 gift card. Sounds simple and fun right!
You may also share your special creation on pinterest using the hashtag
#bakerybecause.
Imagine all the inspiring ideas we can share. It’s simple, easy and affordable!
Best yet, all you have to do is visit your local grocery store and pick up some delicious treats already made and just make them personal to that someone special.
You can send me your short story
I do hope you participate because I would LOVE to hear all about your special someone.
XO

What a great idea! My favorite someone special is my daughter, she literally lights up my life! She’s too young for sweet treats right now but I bet her dad would be happy to help her out with eating them! He’s pretty special to me too!

You really know how to pretty things up, Debbie! Somehow I missed those cute stackable boxes when I was in the Dollar Tree recently! Since Leo and I are on a diet, I need to give my mom (who is 91) a Valentine’s treat. She has a huge sweet tooth and she would love some baked goods. Thanks for giving me this idea!

Such pretty packaging…it really shows that you took the time and care. I haven’t baked for Valentines since my kids were little. They both have summer birthdays so we always did a birthday treat at Valentines. I would make heart cut out cookies for them to take to school. I always decorated a box to make it a fun thing for them to share. As they got older, they helped with the box. This is bringing back such good memories. I wish I could travel back in time and decorate one of those boxes just one more time.

awww…I know Ann. With my youngest now being in middle school they don’t do parties either. However, he will enjoy the box of goodies I make for him and his brother:) oh and Dad too LOL!

I think we need more Debbiedoos in the world. This is a fab idea! I will try it this year. Thanks Debbie!

The cookies are so cute and creative, I have never seen anything like them. Are they in all big grocery stores? My special someone is my Mom we have been through thick and thin, hell and back together and she is always there for me. I miss her terribly when she goes south for the winter but I always know she will return come spring to reside right on my property. I think it takes age to realize how much our parents mean to us and I hope some day my kids will feel the same way 🙂 Have a great evening Debbie you are so special to give the welcome gift, I bet they were thrilled.

You are such a thoughtful person, Debbie! I know they were touched to receive such sweet treats!
My someone special is my sweet husband. He helped me cook dinner tonight AND washed all the dishes. AND he took my youngest to school this morning so I could go to yoga. I couldn’t imagine my life without him!

I love, love to do RAOK’s! One of my favorite things ever, especially the anonymous acts. I’m sure the family loved your treats ~ they look beautiful!! I bake a lot, (I’m back to it!) especially for holidays. I send things to my daughter’s team at her work, the folks here in the apt office and then just whoever. Abby was the best recipient as she had special requests. 🙂 Alex ~ game for anything!
What’s the deadline for this entry?

My miracle babies are my Valentines. My first son I almost lost to a uterine rupture; my second son was born 10 weeks early. I am so thankful to have both of them in my life.
