When I first started blogging I participated regularly in Debbie’s Newbie Party.
And now, here I am sharing my home on her blog.
Thanks so much for having me, Debbie! I don’t have photos of every room just yet since some rooms are still a work in progress. Hope you enjoy the tour …
Doorways and windows are positioned in a way that makes furniture placement challenging.
We use this room primarily for reading or having intimate conversations with guests and family.
A small decoupaged desk sits at the opposite end under the double window.
I love that our house has plenty of windows and natural light.
The dry sink is tucked in one corner …
This room has been sponge painted, wallpapered, and now painted.
It took me awhile to get the right vibe in this room, but I’m happy now.
The tub had a faux marble finish when we moved in.
It took me a reaaaallly long time to get up the nerve to take a paint brush to it.
Would you believe I used Annie Sloan Chalk Paint on this oldie but goodie?
Rather than leave it plain, I added the stripe and fleur-de-lis.
We have another claw foot tub with a shower on the second floor.
The freestanding cabinet is painted Paris Grey (Annie Sloan Chalk Paint). This is actually 2 cabinets that I put together, removing the doors from the upper cabinet. Both pieces I picked off the side of the road (yes, I’m known to go garbage pickin’).
Finally, here’s a mosaic to show you the exterior color scheme. Hubby and I painted the outside ourselves.
Thanks for visiting my home! And thank you, Debbie, for allowing me to share on your blog.
Thank you so much Jennifer for having us over today.
I simply LOVE your home and I know my friends and readers will too.

How fun to see more of your beautiful home, Jennifer!!!! I love the beadboard and all the white! Don’t you just love those big old farmhouse windows??? 🙂 I know what you mean about challenging furniture placement in old homes. I have the same problem in our living room and kitchen. Only one way to put the furniture! lol!
Congrats on being featured here, sweetie!
