As well you should be green with envy as today was the first day back at school for my boys!~ Was I happy? YES AND NO!!~ I was happy because they clearly were starting to get bored at home.
We however, had a wonderful summer. We saw lots of movies, went to the waterpark/amusement park once a week, went fishing, swam in the lake, and had lots and lots of visits with friends and family.
But now it’s time to hit the books! I have to say both boys where excited to get back to school!~ They both have awesome teachers, and exciting things ahead to look forward too. Here is a little :Green recap of our summer!!~Miss Jenny I did not think I was going to make your class today…but being the loyal student I try so hard to be….I made it! Jack sure turned into a master fisherman…well not quite but he is working on it.
He at least learned to be patient, taught well by his Grampa Paul!
Even Alex got a little into fishing this summer…he also made a new friend that day. Do you think they bugged this guy much? YES they did…lucky he was kind and patient…Grampa type of guy!

And we sure ate some good food this summer! Hence the 10 pounds I now need to lose! Working on it now though.Do you have a Rita’s custard near you? YUMMO. Anyhoot, I even got to do a few green projects this summer…of course this was the BEFORE table.

I sure enjoyed watching Jack and his friend learn to be creative as well. My kitchen was a disaster this day with clay and paint, but these boys had a blast!
First day of school all dressed in Green, my handsome now 8th grader Alex!!~ He advised me that tomorrow he plans on looking super spiffy….hmmmm…I wonder, wonder why??

Yes envious for the same reason, boredom with my two…bittersweet, check me next week about that. Love the ‘staches! I laughed out loud! Alex is slowly morphing into a young man right before our eyes! And Jack, little ray of sunshine that one!

I am glad that you had such a nice summer with your family. I am a teacher and the beginning of school is always bittersweet, I love my summers but I also love to get back to school and teaching my little ones.

Wow, back to school, eh? Our schools start on Monday….it just seems way to hot here to be starting school….ah welllllll.
School starting is always bittersweet. The schools around here start next week. They don’t have air conditioning though, so I don’t know how they are going to stand being there ugh!! Looks like you all had a great summer.

Well, sounds like your summer was awesome but you know you have to love it when school starts back. I always did, at least. Summer with 4 kids and little money was always a challenge for me. My kids were stair-steps…oldest was 5 when I had the 4th. They sure could fuss with each other. (that was a nice way of saying they fought a lot) Anyway, I pray that they have a blessed year at school….and you have a blessed year with them at school.

Your boys are very handsome, and I’m jealous they are back to school. I still have one ornery toddlepants at home with me this year, but next year is going to be awesome.
You just have the most adorable boys!! Mine only have a half day today so to me tomorrow is the first official day of school! I am looking forward to it. I love the boys but I sure like having the house to myself all day!! AND THE COMPUTER!
