First off thanks for the many congratulations, regarding our publication in Country Woman magazine!~
So much fun it was indeed.
Now onto this post….
I am not one into table cloths. At one time, I loved them, and lace ones no less.
Now I like table runners and placemats.

Now onto this post….
I am not one into table cloths. At one time, I loved them, and lace ones no less.
Now I like table runners and placemats.
Of course, as you know color is key for me.
Now that I finally have valances I like, it is hard to find the right table runner to go with, or should I say compliment.
Today I went to Marshall’s to buy a friend a birthday gift. Well she got one, and I got two…
even though my birthday is over.
I deserve it RIGHT? RIGHT, thank you…
I don’t shop that much these days..too busy on this dang computer.
How about this score for 12.99 at Marshalls, including the bottles…I almost walked away from it, then I thought, I know what I can do with it. |
I love my faux flowers and apples from PIER I..that is the only place I like to get the faux’s. |
As you can see I did not place this table cloth the traditional way. I layered it on each side. It just looked too perfect the other way, I hate perfect. |
I still have to iron it, because I HATE wrinkles too.. but before I took that time to do that, I have to see if I can live it with it. |
Should it stay or should it GO?
Kim @ Savvy Southern Style
It goes perfectly with your chairs and valance colors. Love the wicker holding the bottles. Good price on that!
The Garden Bell
Get out that iron. You are going to LIVE with it. The perfect punch of color. It goes so well. It can not go…. Remember, Tease in Color, perfect.
Joyce
love the basket and bottles- havent seen anything like that!
Tablecloth is nice and bright, I am with you, I prefer runners and placemats, but tablecloths work well with kids 🙂

Stay….Must Stay….
Works great with the rest of the room…
Now tell me about your dining set??? Did you paint that yourself?? Did I miss that post??
Just Fabulous!!!
Pam - diy Design Fanatic
I think the tablecloth looks great with the valance.

Love the basket, Debbie.

Well, I guess I will be the Devil's advocate here. While I really like the tablecloth I am not in LOVE with it in your setting. It's nice but…hmmm…well,, when I look at the room my eyes zero right in to it because it is so different from the surrounding pieces/fabrics. However, maybe that is your intent? And..I don't think colors run true in pictures either so it might be just that. But…that is just me…you can slap me silly when you see me~ xo Diana

Hi Debbie…
I am the same way any more…I usually do runners and placemats instead of a tablecloth. But…I really do like this pretty tablecloth that you found, my friend! It goes perfectly with your colors, valance, and dining room! I think it offers a nice change!
I just adore the wicker carrier and bottles! I would love to find one like that…and it was a great price too! Great finds, my friend! Thank you for sharing them with us today! You know…I just adore your dining room…it really IS GORGEOUS!!!
Warmest summery wishes, sweet lady!

This tablecloth BELONGS in your room, Debbie. Its pattern is the perfect scale to complement your existing valance. Love it!

Love the basket and bottles. Heat up that iron!
Debbie
The chairs really make the matching color in the tablecloth pop. LOVE how the apples also match the top of the chairs.
I like florals with stripes, paisly with plaids, and varied textures as well.
Keep it. It looks nice, Debbie.
Hugs,
Debbie

I really like it! It looks like it belongs in your room.
I almost bought those bottles in the wicker from TJ's but put them up. They are adorable.
Have a happy 4th!

Debbie I think it goes beautifully in your kitchen, it has all your colors. I LOVE the bottles in the wicker holder! Martina

The tablecloth perfectly compliments your dining room! I think it should stay. Love the little bottles, too. I have something smaller and need to do a little number on it! Your dining room is beautiful!!

My vote is to stay. It brings pattern and visual interest at just the right height. Your eye is drawn to the tablecloth. Great choice:)
Renegades
It looks nice but is it to much pattern with your valences being plaid?
Deb
Love the tablecloth..but the picture hanging low in front of the dog bowls is what caught my eye…great idea..I have 3 dogs and I think it's about time they had art on their level! Thanks for the ideas and inspirations 🙂
Ann from On Sutton Place
I would have brought home the wicker holder too. Totally love the tablecloth…but I'm a fabric lover and there's nothing better than a great floral in my opinion! I think it looks divine. You could always cut some of the tablecloth off and make a pillow for the other end chair…I love the way you have a pillow on one of them. Regardless, it's a change and it didn't cost very much. Well done!
Gina
I think it's pretty & should stay. It compliments the valances nicely.
Studio Carolina
I love the tablecloth, but what really caught my eye was the shelf up high above the window. Love the asymmetrical styling. Your dining room is so inviting and homey…..is that a word???
laxsupermom
The tablecloth is so pretty! And it works with your valance, too. I say keep it.
Ricki Jill Treleaven
*stay* But I have never met a table linen I did not like! 😀
Pam
Oh, I think it should stay! I'm a sucker for paisley. It goes so well with the valences so you HAVE to keep it.

Debbie, I couldn't tell what thought about it when you showed it up close. When you showed the photo from a little distance, giving the full effect of how it looks in the room….gorgeous!! I think it is definitely a "stay"! It looks so pretty with your chairs.
Anita @ GoingALittleCoastal
I think it looks great in there! I know you have to give it a bit to see if you like it. I get that. I like the little wicker bottle set. I saw one at Stein Mart and didn't get it but wish I had.
Kathy

The colors are perfect and I think you might like to have the option to put it in your decorating rotation.
I like it, Debbie.

Debbie,
I love the tablecloth. Is it Waverly? I am a Wavery nut! I sometimes turn my tablecloths in the diamond shape and layer with a smaller one on top. Kind of cute 🙂 Anyway, I had to tell you that I dreamt last night I was in my favorite shop and I ran into you. We were happy to meet each other. I went back to buy some king size yellow RL sheets and you had scooped them up. We must have the same taste in dreamland, lol!
Becca
I love it, Debbie! And, how you turned it the other way looks great … I hate perfect, too! The neat bottles were a true score! And, BTW, whenever I buy a birthday gift for someone, I usually buy myself one, too (or, is that *two*) ?! LOL
Lori
Why have I not noticed your chairs before? Did you change them? Or is it our great camera? Room looks great wouldn't change a thing.
Kim
Stay, stay, stay!!!
I can't believe you got that sweet basket from Marshall's WITH the bottles!! Lucky girl. And you are so right about the faux stems – Pier 1 def has the best around. Now, I'm with Lori – how did I miss those chairs??? Love 'em! Your kitchen looks spectacular Deb!!!

Hey friend! Well, I like it! I think it is nice to have something like that to throw into the mix now and then even if you decide not to use it everyday. And besides, you could always just use it to make pillows if you get tired of it! LOL!

Hi Debbie, I love how your tablecloth compliments your valances. I say keep it and enjoy, when you grow tired of it put it away and bring it out again in the fall. You have such a great eye for design, I love your dining room! I hope you have a great day!

What I love about it is that you can change it up by folding it down smaller, putting it on an angle ect. You can show more table or less table depending on your mood. I say keep it!
Gypsy Heart
I think we're sisters from other misters! 🙂 I hate perfect too…and love color. Can't stand all matchy, matchy. I think these colors are perfect for your space. You could also make a runner and napkins from the tablecloth…just a thought! The bottle thingy is great too.

I love the wicker bottle holder! I will have to look for one of those!
It looks good but I like your table runners better! Your runners show off your gorgeous table!
