Simple Patriotic party ideas
Hi there friends! We sure hope you are all staying well and doing well these days. It’s a crazy time for our country and 2020 will never be forgotten.
On a personal note, we have a lot going on in our household these days. Our older son was accepted into medical school. He found out in the beginning of Covid that he was accepted. In fact, in the very beginning he had to fly down to Florida for his interview. He wasn’t hopeful or optimistic that he would be accepted. Well lo and behold, in the beginning of March he received his acceptance letter. Alex will be moving to Tampa in just a few short weeks.
Anyhow, we plan on celebrating with our family the 4th of July weekend together. I happen to have some simple patriotic party ideas I plan on incorporating.
Let’s start with dessert. This delicious Angel food, no-bake patriotic cake is light and very delicious. Angel food patriotic cake HERE. If you don’t mind turning on the oven, you can try this cherry dump cake HERE. Add some blueberries and you have an –OH MY!
Decorating outside, or inside is simple as well. If you want to get crafty, and happen to have a few pallets, or wood around you can very easily make your own patriotic pallet or sign.
Patriotic pallet HERE. You can even right down drive to your local hardware like Home Depot or Lowes and check in the back for their pallets that are free. Simply ask if you can take a few off their hands. They will be happy to give them to you. You can find more pallet ideas HERE.
You can also grab a few cans of spray paint and make a festive wreath.

Now is a great time to clean out your fridge. I’m sure you only have one lonely pickle left in that jar. Eat the pickle, clean out the jar and get crafty making some table top centerpieces.
I even had an empty tuna can I used. Add a little burlap, and twine and look how cute these are. Patriotic table top ideas HERE.

If you are wanting to try some new BBQ recipes, I would highly recommend our baked beans recipe HERE
I definitely plan on making them myself. Sooo good my friends. The recipe came from a hometown Buffalo, NY cookbook I happen to have.
If you never tried a grilled watermelon, here’s your chance. It may sound odd, but let me tell you, it is amazingly delicious. Grilled watermelon recipe HERE.
I hope you all enjoy the 4th of July this year the best you can with your family, safely.
Wishing you all well. Enjoy.
