75+ things you can do to get through quarantine
Hi, there friends! I think I have lost track of how many days we have been on lockdown. I think it’s been about 23 days already.
***END of the post will be all features***
Most likely, we can all say at this point not only are we learning things about ourselves, but we are also learning things from and about others. This all makes for a true testament of times. Both good and bad in all. I have tried to stay off social media as much as I can. I get a little annoyed at the “I’m living my life as usual” kind of people. In the past, almost every case or scenario, that kind of person or attitude never phased or affected me. I am all about living your life the way you see fit or choose. However, during this most uncertain time of our lives, I have a problem with people not doing the right thing. STAY HOME! We are all in this together folks, and if we all do our part, we will be stronger, wiser, braver, smarter, and the list goes on. Not to mention ourselves, family and friends will be alive so we can all celebrate life as we once knew it. GOT it?, GOOD.
Considering it is officially Springtime, I am betting you were planning on doing some deep house cleaning. I have a few cleaning tips that will be very useful for you at this time. They really do work. Cleaning the stove grates, or hardwood floors is never a fun task. I have some simple and effective solutions.
Here is a time we can venture and try new things. Perhaps online Yoga and meditation would be something we all could benefit from.
Family board games are always a great time together, and of course, take up some time. If your family is competitive like mine, could make for a fun night, or a disgruntled one HA!
There’s always binge-watching Netflix. Believe it or not, I have not binged on any television. I have to be in the mood, and once I start a series I want to finish it. That could be a 12 hour day for me of watching TV.
Right now they have a virtual zoo HERE, Virtual concert series calendar of showings HERE , cooking shows in the Instant Pot featuring (me and our son Big Al HERE). I have been coming on Facebook live a lot more these days myself sharing some great Instant Pot recipes. It’s been nice to be social, yet being distant. Family Zoom calls and Facetime have been a blessing as well.
If you have a sewing machine, now more than ever you can put it to good use by helping make DIY face masks. I have a step by step tutorial here you can download, print and make some face masks.
Now is also a time to get out and start sprucing up the yard with even some low maintenance diy’s. We have been doing more of that as well. You can order your mulch online at Home Depot and go pick it up outside. Basically NO contact at all and it gets you out-about and busy in the yard.
We also have obvious things we can do at this time, such as taking family walks together, sitting outside for at least 15 minutes and soaking up some vitamin D, reading books, playing frisbee (which yes I have been doing with our son) and simple things just to keep our mind and bodies positive. We will get through this quarantine and pandemic together.
Thanks for stop
