Christmas decorating
Hi there friends! Can you believe we are so close to Christmas time again? Boy oh boy, can we just slow down father time?
If you have been a regular around here, you know I have trimmed down a lot compared to previous years. I simply don’t have the energy like I used to.
It’s amazing how that catches up to you. In my head I have the energy, but my body says, no, no no. HA!
I still had to make things nice this year because as I mentioned a few weeks ago, I am hosting our annual Bunco Christmas party. You can see some of the Christmas wreaths gifts I made for the girls HERE.
Few Christmas balls, bows and beads. I hung gift tags on the beads. Easy peasy and adds just that extra little touch.
The blessed box I recently purchased at Kirklands. It was marked down to $10.00, and I like that fact I can use it per season. It is not only for Christmas.
The tree is simple and slim! I wish I could say that about myself LOL! I bought it at Walmart this year on line. I needed a taller tree but didn’t want a fussy, big one. This is perfect.
Even the fake pug is decorated and waiting for Christmas under the tree. Our Lucy pug sort of freaks out every time she walks by. It’s hysterical to see her reaction. She sniffs it!
Our ornaments are an eclectic mix that I have had throughout the years. I scattered about some Dollar tree round gold and red balls.
The cute felt Elf came from the Dollar tree. I hung him on the chippy old shutter.
Thank you for stopping by our Christmas decorating in the family room today. I have a few more spaces to share and then it will be Christmas, a time to relax, eat, drink and be merry with our family and friends.
You can find last years Christmas decorating ideas HERE.

Debbie, I think you’ve done quite a bit of decorating for the Holidays! Your family room looks very nice. That old fireplace is just amazing. Is it original to the house? Tell us more about the design, vintage and history of your unique home. I’m always interested in the stories houses have to tell.
Hope your Christmas is Joyful!

Thank you Naomi. Our house was purchased about 13 years ago as a new built. We just sort of made it look old with the vintage and antiques we have been collecting together for over 20 years. The fireplace was originally Oak and I painted it with black chalky paint to look older. I will link that project in the post, thanks for reminding me. Thanks as always for stopping over Naomi. xo
