Dollar Tree Mini Christmas Wreaths
Hi there my friends! I sure have been a busy bee around here lately. I have almost all my Christmas decorations up already. This year I am hosting our annual Bunco Christmas party. There is a lot of preparation and thought put into our yearly party. Including games, food, prizes, etc. I admit, I feel the pressure.
I am not sure what the girls expectations are, but I do know they are looking so forward to it.
I decided I would make the girls (all 12) a little extra something for the holiday. Just a small gesture of gratitude, and friendship. Our group has been together for 13 years now. That is a long time for 12 women to get along LOL!! Just kidding, but you can understand what I mean. Lots of different personalities going on. All of which I adore.
I picked up my supplies at the Dollar tree.
I had the black and white checked fabric on hand. I think one year I used that as a tree skirt. As you can see the wreaths come in a two pack, the little red truck ornaments in a 4 pack, single ornaments, rolls of mesh and a pair of socks.
Each wreath will be different and unique! Just like the gals. Although, they get what they get and they best not be upset HA! They can trade if they want I suppose.
There is not much to speak of in terms of a tutorial. I did go on You tube to see how to do the curly mesh look. I was never good at making mesh wreaths and I did not want the entire wreath mesh. Too much foo foo for my taste.
As you can see, I wrapped half the wire wreath form either in fabric, the sock or ribbon. Wrap it like you would -let’s say a wound. Hot glue the first wrap, keep wrapping tightly, then hot glue the last wrap. The other side of the wreath is where you can do your mesh part, then hot glue the ornament of choice. These are really cute ornaments at the Dollar tree this year.
What the girls do with them is entirely their choice. They can hang on a cabinet, or simply lean up against other holiday decor.
They add a touch of whimsy most anywhere. Pin it, make it share. Below I will leave you the You tube video on how to make the mesh wreaths.
One year I made mini Dollar tree wreaths and hung them on our cabinets.

Debbie,
This are great and love the mesh. I’m with you, a complete wreath of this is too much for me. Love those little ornaments you added. I don’t go to dollar stores around here. I can’t drive anymore and by the time I get there I figure they’ll be picked over.
The ladies will love these.

Thank you Cindy, I think they will too!

Are you using a sock like fabric? Do they get cut into strips or you just wrap the whole sock around the wreath? I was a little confused on that! Love them, though. So cute and affordable for 12!! You and I are a lot alike. I like hosting parties and giving everyone a parting gift too! Makes it so special! You are one sweet lady!

Karen I did not cut the sock. I simply wrapped it around the wreath form. Thanks for your sweet visit.

These are all so pretty! They look great in the kitchen. I can’t believe you were able to get all of that at Dollar Tree. Our local Dollar Tree is sold out of everything every time I go in there.

Very cute and clever! What a great gifting item!

One of my very favorites Debbie. Trying to figure out how you did the mesh. I agree, cute ornaments this year at the Dollar Tree. I was there yesterday. Picked up 3, plus items to make a big snowflake wreath. If it turns out ok, I’ll send pic. Never heard of Bunco till this year. Have fun. You are a wonderful hostess!
