Dollar tree Halloween tray makeover
Hi there folks! I have mentioned here lately that Halloween decorating will be dwindling in this here parts of our home. I will still put out a few things here and there, but nothing like I used to. It’s just not the same anymore.
Today, I am sharing a dollar tree tray makeover.
I actually made this for a friend’s daughter. She is only 9 and I know for certain she will love it. I have to say though when Jack saw it, I think he was a tad jealous. I asked him if he wanted me to make him one. He said no, however, he did wind up eating all the tootsie rolls off the tray before I had a chance to give it to the sweet little gal. Luckily, I bought two bags.
My rooster rolling pin stencil fit just right on this tray. That stencil is no longer available, however, you can find more selections HERE.
Surrounded by a few rolling eyeballs and tootsie rolls.
Dollar tree Halloween Tray Makeover
Pin it, make it enjoy.
The dollar tree Halloween tray was definitely a hit. And for the record, I was finding tootsie roll wrappers in the couch for a few days before I was able to give it to my friend’s daughter.
So yes, Jack enjoyed a few treats himself. A few days later my friend sent me a picture of tootsie roll wrappers on her stairs LOL. Oops, sorry.
While I had out my stencil supplies I also made another mini lazy Susan. If you missed the details on my first lazy Susan you can find that post here. I wanted to show you just how versatile stencils can be. I even mixed and matched one.
I took half the market cow stencil and half the rooster rolling pin and mixed them up. Of course, stenciling one thing at a time and letting it completely dry before I went onto the next.
Lots of creative mixing and matching y’all can do this holiday season for your gift-giving. On a very friendly budget too!.
Enjoy. You can check out years past of my Halloween decorating.
Thank you so much for visiting with me today.
If you are new here, I am also very excited to share my new stencil line with you.

The dollar tree has so many cute little things for DIY makeovers. Your Halloween tray was a hit to your friends daughter and your son! Will you be making any Christmas stencils, Debbie?

Yes Nancie, I have one winter one on the way:) I wish I could make hundreds at a time. But, I would need a HUGE money tree lol.

Hi.. today is wet and drippy outside.. YEAH !! Cozy fire and Peppermint Cocoa this a.m.
I purchased your GATHER stencil… luv it. It was a challenge for me… my FIRST stenciling was on a pumpkin !! LoL I should have had a larger pumpkin… I stenciled in stages. It looks GREAT… I did have a few spots to ‘fix’ .
Today I am going to stencil on a flat (old deck) board !! Can’t wait !! THANK YOU !!
??Linda
p.s. what is the best way to clean the stencil…

Wonderful Linda. Yes, it can be a challenge if you have never stenciled. It takes a bit of practice but once you achieve it, you will want to stencil everything. I always recommend practicing on a poster board first. Warm sudsy water will get the paint off. Just don’t rub it hard or else you may compromise the letters. Have fun, and thank you!

Very cute, Debbie! I can’t wait to use my stencils. I will be going to my sister’s for Thanksgiving and we will use them on some wood she got (for free!) from a man who tore down part of a 100 year old farm house. So excited!!!

That is going to be a lot of fun! Can’t wait to hear about it Doris.
