Poke, poke, poke!
This cake was so stinkin easy, it almost seems silly to share.
But, hey that’s what I’m here for.
Today, I am sharing an easy chocolate pudding poke cake recipe
It was about that time for our Annual Bunco Christmas party. We have a lot of fun! We play a game or two and do a white elephant gift exchange. This year I got robbed but in the end wound up with a fabulous necklace that I know will be put to good use.
So for the party, I wanted to make a dessert, and make something different. I have made every dump cake on the planet..I think, and wanted to make a cake.
My Mom shared her deep dark delicious chocolate cake with us last year. That cake is dabomb. But I will say it has a bit more time involved. It’s worth it no doubt, I was just pressed for time, so I wanted to find quick and easy.
I put out some feelers on facebook and had one suggestion of a poke cake that sounded really yummy. Sadly, it needed an entire day to sit, and I didn’t have time to do that.
So I googled poke cakes. I never made a poke cake.
I actually had to make two. One for the Bunco Christmas party and one for my family.
They would have been terribly disappointed had I NOT.
Simple ingredients.
ONE box of Betty Crocker Chocolate fudge cake mix. {I used triple Chocolate fudge just because}
1 box of Chocolate instant pudding pie filling
and the reeses pb chips were just because. Who doesn’t love chocolate and peanut butter combination?
Bake as directed on the box.
Poke holes with the tip of a wooden spoon
Mix the pudding as directed and pour over the cake.
Add whatever toppings. As you can see the morsels and some Christmas sprinkles.
Place in fridge for about two hours.
Enjoy! If you are looking for an easy dessert to make this holiday season. You just found it!
I did buy frosting too, thinking I would have to frost it. However, the pudding is the frosting too.
Check out my RECIPE archives while you are here. ALL easy, trust me.

Oh my gosh my dad would love this…he loves pudding of any kind. I like that there is no frosting too. One less step!
