Hi there everyone! Before you know it Christmas cards will be flooding our mailboxes. I look forward to Christmas cards every year.
We do a very generic Christmas card and certainly nothing but ordinary. Simple family pic is usually about it.
Today, I am sharing 5+ funny Christmas greeting card ideas that will make you laugh, and perhaps even give you an idea for your own family Christmas card this year.
Meet my friend Sue and family!
Sue and I met when I first moved to the area. In fact, it was the first day our boys started Kindergarten together.
I over heard Sue talking to another Mom about being from Buffalo, NY and I walked up to her and introduced myself seeing I am a former Buffalo gal too! Ironically it turns out Sue and my husband literally lived 5 minutes away from one another in the same town in Buffalo.
The rest is history. That was 9 years ago.
Sue and her family have quite the sense of humor.
Every year they do a little something different with their Christmas cards and I always look forward to what her clever, creative mind will come up with.
I hope y’all have a sense of humor..if not, you probably were at the wrong blog to begin with.

This may be in fact my favorite card. I think truly this year she wanted to put duct tape on her kids mouths permanently. No worries though it came off right after the photo:)
This one year was Anonymous, however, I knew right away who’s it was. Very cute!
The Schitts family was another fave.

Another cute and funny idea. The family pic, is actually Sue’s husband with an entire different family.
A different neighbor and different neighborhood kids.
Cross dressing! Takes a real man to wear pearls and ruffles. Hmmm..doesn’t Prince wear pearls and ruffles too?
And then who doesn’t have a good fight before Christmas?

Such funny cards!!!….Years ago we had a “Family Christmas photo” taken the year my son got married…so it was the 4 of us and their beloved dog…the photographer and i poured over lots of proofs and picked the perfect one…or so we thought….When I received the photos for our cards I noticed something….the dog apparently was “very excited” as our photographer was beautiful….there was a “fifth” “limb” extending from his body….I sent these cards out with a star sticker over the “fifth limb” with a note that the dog was overly excited about Christmas and the beautiful photographer!!…Actually our friends and family still to this day say it was their favorite Christmas card ever!….

Thanks for the awesome ideas! I got divorced 4 years ago and since then my 3 daughters (2 teenagers and one 9-year old) and I have started a tradition of doing funny Christmas cards. Last year we did a “family” photo that included my mysterious new man – Jason Momoa! Since most of my family live in rural areas in the south of Namibia, they were all VERY intrigued and chuffed with my sexy new man, not knowing who Jason is! 🙂
