Hey there everyone!
I tell you, this time of year is killer for me. Since the beginning of October when all things pumpkin hit the shelves it is my total downfall to all things diet!
I love pumpkin flavor and I try everything new I see.
The pumpkin spice oreo cookie cake was killer, and I admit, I won’t be making that again.
Not because it was bad, but because I truly have no self control.
Today, I am sharing how to make pumpkin spice rice krispie treats.
It started with the pumpkin spice marshmallow find at Aldi’s,
I turned the bag around and saw the recipe for Rice Krispie treats.
Of course these are Aldi’s brand but I am sure the regular grocery store carries them now as well.
Then I spied the M&M white chocolate candy corn.
I knew the boys would be happy when they came home from school and had this treat waiting for them.
The marshmallows not only taste good, they look cute too. Of course though not for long because you have to melt them.
Yes, they are like crack. You can totally get addicted after just one!
I love that this treat was colorful too!
Here are the deets:
5 ½ cups of rice krispies
1 bag of crack M&M’s
1 10 oz bag of Pumpkin spice marshmallows
¼ cup of butter or margarine
Put your rice krispies in a 13×9 buttered or sprayed on the bottom glass casserole. Sprinkle about half the bag of crack M&M’s and lightly blend all together.
Melt butter or margarine in a 3 qt sauce pan.
Add marshmallows and continue to stir until completely melted. Be careful not to scold.
Mixture should be syrupy.
Remove from heat immediately.
Pour on top of treats and mix well. I use a wooden spoon and then pat down with a spatula.
Let completely cool,
Cut in squares
and ENJOY!!
Pin it, make it:)
Thanks for stopping over today. If you are not a regular, I sure would love to see you back again.
