Hi there everyone!
Seems these months are just whipping by us. It was just Mother’s day. Now Memorial day coming up and then Schools out for Summer!
Gosh, I remember screaming that song on top of my lungs at the end of the year. Not sure if my boys even know that tune HA! Shows my age I guess.
Today I am sharing some creative ways to give bake goods.
I don’t know about you, but I do love sweets and treats.
In fact, sometimes a little too much and I have to reign myself and fork in from eating too many.
Every time, I visit our local grocer and walk by the bakery section, I of course stop to stare.
Stop, stare, try to listen to my inner voice saying you really don’t need this.
But then the other inner voice says, oh but the kids really like these.
My inner voice also says, these would be great for bunco tonight.
Don’t forget you have that BBQ to go to this weekend too..how simple and yummy are these treats to bring.
In the cart they go.
The convenience, the variety and the freshness of the smell just lures me in.
What I have found is bringing bake goods cutely packaged to a party, or as a hostess gift is really all you need sometimes.
There is not always time to slave in the kitchen. And you really don’t have to.

I found a few cute ideas for creative sweet treat giving and thought I would share.
It’s gifting made delicious!
Taste of Home had some lovely creative ideas for every season, for every reason.
Orange cranberry cake with a diy cake platter
and because cuteness does count, you can diy
So remember the next time you have a sweet treat gift giving idea,
make it fun, sweet and extra special.
I remember on Valentines day I made a cute dollar tree cupcake/candy stand
from the dollar tree.
It was so simple and personal. Not to mention just a few dollars to make.

I am totally inspired to do something special for Father’s day.
My husband loves sweet treats and why not surprise him?!
I certainly don’t want to simply hand over this.
May taste great, but I am betting presented in a cute way, will taste all the better.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping over today.
I hope you found some inspiring and creative ways to give bake goods.

Those are some great ideas, Debbie, and it doesn’t have to cost a lot to put something pretty together. I should do something for Father’s Day with the cookies my hubby likes from our local grocery store. They have a great bakery section. He has been being good lately, so I’m sure a nicely presented cookie would be a welcome treat.
I would have to say my granddaughter is the person who is that someone special. I’ve been babysitting a few times a week the past couple of months and have really enjoyed the little person this 3 1/2 year old has become. She always says something that makes me laugh.

My husband and I have 7 grand children, I became a grandmother 8 years ago at age 36, So I think we are still young enough to REALLY enjoy these blessings in our life…6 girls and 1 amazing little boy who can hold his own with all these girls lol. On September 7, 2010 our 6th grandchild was born….One month later Teighler (pronounced Taylor) Came to live with us…..We soon adopted this beautiful little girl who will soon turn 4 years old….Although we love all of our grand children we have this special bond with Teighler and I just couldn’t imagine life without this ray of sunshine in my life! So Smart, full of life and a whole lot of attitude and personality!!
Debbie, Thank you for sharing your creativity with us all….such an inspiration to people like me who LOVE to diy but have very little imagination! (I get to say “I made it” when asked where I got something and thats a great feeling)
Thank you again,
Kathy

What cute & clever ideas! I’ll definitely have to try some of them! And the special people in my life include my wonderful hubby and my two children! They become more & more of a pleasure as they grow older. My teen daughter is so good at so many things…and is quite crafty…and an excellent baker, too! And my tween son is on that line between still-a-kid and ready-to-grow up.

Okay. Now I want dessert. Loved the cello wrapped goodies with that pretty glittery tag! So cute. My MIL is always deserving of something sweet, and loves lemon goodies.

Adorable ideas! People really appreciate a gift more if it has a lovely presentation!

I agree, Debbie. Presentation adds wonders to any gift. Thanks for sharing these cute ideas. A local bakery had a cute idea for Mother’s Day…….mini pies on a stick in the shape of flowers and presented in a clay pot. They were adorable.

My someone special in my life is my grandson Gabriel Joseph Gurd. He is 9 years old. He also has down syndrome. He, along with our other 5 grandchildren make me smile more than anything. He’s very bright and has a beautiful outlook on life. He’s also my “runner”. He loves to play duck duck goose and to ride his electric Harley Davidson. He loves movies and his 3 boxers. He has a big brother RJ and a little brother Greyson. He is hilarious and loves to make us laugh. When Gabriel was born I arrived just 3 minutes after our daughter Brooke had given birth. All of the nurses piled in the room and we overheard the words Down Syndrome. I never once thought “how could this have happened” . He was a gift from God and as we call him “our angel on earth”. I couldn’t imagine my life without Gabriel. I would miss that huge smile and how he runs into my arms yelling “Nonni” when he see’s me. (and PaPa). He is my someone special. Denise Monville

You shared a lot of great ideas for packaging sweet treats, Debbie! And they are such a nicer way to bring to a gathering or as a gift. We have a country grocer up the street in our village that is Dutch and they do all their own baking. Family and friends are always asking me to pick up something from there for them. I think from now on I will go that extra mile with presentation to make them feel more special. Debbie 🙂
