Staining wood furniture versus painting.
That was our choice of our new wood chairs and picnic table.
These are our new outdoor Adirondack rockers.
My husband is so organized when he has a project to do.
Not me, I would have had every nut and bolt all over the place!
But they would have been together, not saying they would have stayed together!
I spread 11 bales of pine needles around the perimeter or our new patio.
I knew I could not do away entirely without them.
I am OK with it because it still looks rustic, yet I do not have to walk and slide all over them.
Finally a place for my Spanish rustic horse head!
Some people do not care for this horse head, I happen to like it, I just needed the right spot for it,
and now I do believe I found it!
We have plenty of wood for those Fall and Winter fires we plan on having!
Here is the stain brand and name of the color we used.
Mike says the chairs look like a dill pickle…
Plenty of color choices to choose from in the stain.
After staining the chairs and table, we applied three coats of polyurethane.
Easy maintenance just wipe up, and perhaps yearly add a fresh coat of poly.
There is certainly more to come out here..but as you can see it is coming along nicely.

I have a feeling we are going to make lots of fun memories out here to come…
Status of the chairs and table two years later FANTASTIC. The only thing we do each year is poly them up again. The color has not faded one bit, and it is an excellent product to use.
If you are new here, welcome! I am also very excited to share my new stencil line with you.

Thanks an interesting contrast with 2 of the Adirondacks painted green and the others stained. I think it actually works pretty well together.
