It’s slowly warming up here in Michigan. I mean, s-l-o-w-l-y.
Every day the snow piles seem to get a little smaller.
I even caught a tulip poking through in our flower bed
Soon, I will be getting outdoors weeding, walking, and getting back in shape after the long indoor Winter.
That puts me in the mood for more vegetables.
Not all of us enjoy veggies, so I’m sharing a few recipes that may change your mind.
I think this “Roasted Broccoli” could possibly change President George Bush’s mind.
It is absolutely the best way I have ever made broccoli.

The next recipe is actually very special to me.
It’s from my Grandmother, Nano.
Here she is holding me in the 1970’s on her car.
Oh, how I loved this woman.
She made me peanut butter & jelly sandwiches until I was old enough to try her
“Creamed of Asparagus on Toast” is a creamy sauce with hard boiled eggs, and blanched asparagus.
It’s nutty/salty flavor, and creamy/crispy texture takes comfort food to a whole new level.
Nano would be proud I shared it with you
