The beautiful Countryside of Ireland

Home sweet Home!

We are back.

vintage family and home quote

{free 8 x 10 printable}

Doesn’t even seem like we ever left.

Our trip to the ever so beautiful country side of Ireland was surely a World wind of a time.

Going over the pond as they say, was a feeling like no other.

Of course with over 600 pics, I am certain you will be seeing a lot of the Country yourself here on my blog.

I will break it down in increments.

Rock of Cashel

Every morning we were up at the crack of Dawn and pretty much on our tour bus by 8:00 am.

Most days never ended until 10 pm in the evening.

This picture here above is from on top of the Rock of Cashel.

Pubs in Ireland

Of course Ireland, pretty much has a pub on every corner, and all indeed, old, unique and have a charm and warm feeling of home.

The Irish culture,

is extremely

warm

friendly

kind

and very thoughtful.

Guinness

A pint of Guinness beer is pretty much standard wherever you may roam.

and for the record, the beer is not warm as I was told it was.

The fish and chips and warm stews are most delicious.

We really want to find bowls like this.

They kept the stew warm the entire time while eating.

Brilliant I tell you!

We really should have had two of these desserts, because

I did not want to share:(

This lady here…

my MOM

I give her KUDOS to the max.

Never would I believe all the walking she could do, or would do to keep up on this trip.

She did it

and I am so happy that my Mom, Sister, and brother-in-law made it on this family adventure.

Of course,

they came to see this guy

which btw

we only saw twice

for a second.

Alex truly had the time of his life.

Alex marching in the parade

The St. Patty’s day parade was an amazing Parade like no other.

Of course, it was the coldest day of my life.

One thing you do not go to Ireland for is the weather.

But I will tell you the warmth of the people and the beautiful culture they represent

makes you warm inside.

Now, I have to go catch up on some laundry around here!~

I don’t see any snow, which we have tons of here still.

I bet summer is the best time for weather.

    Bliss

    • They love fresh veggies and soups, and they were fantastic. They eat a lot of chicken too, which I am little sick of chicken right now. The fish fry was to die for! Or I should say fish and chips.

  27. Oh …fish and chips my favorite! I know your son was in the band there, what is the back story on that, were they chosen, win a contest? Did all of the bands family members go? Your mom looks fabulous!!!

    Carol

    • Hi Carol…yes the Mayor of Dublin invited the Fort Mill HS marching band. The school raised money to help pay for the kids to get there, with us paying partial. Friends and family were invited at a discount rate, which was fabulous!

  32. Eeeeeekkkkk!!! I love it! Isn’t the Rock of Cashel fabulous?!? That is where Tom’s mom fell and we thought she had broken her face! Thank the Lord she caught herself with her hands and was just scared. We spent most of the day there. Just lovely! I can’t even begin to imagine how fantastic the parade was and to have Alex be able to participate in something like that is awesome! The best part is your whole family got to go. I know exactly how that is and it is memories that can’t be replaced!

  33. Sounds like a wonderful family trip that will provide beautiful memories for years to come.

  34. Hi Debbie, WOW did that time go as fast for you, it seems like you just left. What a beautiful country, it has always been at the top of my bucket list. Your mom is too cute and I can’t wait to see more pictures. Keep sending!!..Happy Thursday..Judy

  35. Oh, it all looks wonderful!! I’m so glad you got to enjoy it with your mom and sister (and BIL) as well. That tripled the fun at least. I was road tripping with my own mother and sister, and they are the ones who told me, and I quote, “Debbiedo is back from Ireland, and she has a picture of the parade.”

How pathetic we are. We discuss the lives of invisible blog people while on our own adventures. LOL

It looks wonderful, and I’m glad to have time back in blog land to see it.

  36. Welcome home, Debbie!! I love the first picture of the countryside…stunning! So glad to hear you had such a wonderful trip.
    Debbie :)
(I’m almost finished your stand, got behind in things here, and will get it mailed out the beginning of the week!)

  37. Oh Debbie, what a wonderful experience!!! You must be so proud of your young man:) The beer looks so good. I have vague memories of English fish and chips and they were soooooooo amazing, so I’m drooling just thinking about it!
