A vintage kitchen can {recycle, recreate, enjoy!}

Today, I had a spark of creativity in my blood!

Just a spark I say…..

I am in cleaning mode but had to squeeze this in real fast.

and fast it was!~

Remember my sauce cans from the other day?

 Well, of course they did not go in the recycle bin.

I obviously have a love of kitchen recipes…. vintage, and thrifting…

{I spray painted this silverware I bought at goodwill for 25 cents each}

vintage recipe can on vintage scale

you get that about me by now.

Even though I am not a huge cook, I still like recipes in a kitchen

Heck, this hobby lobby recipe stencil has been in circulation now for two years.

Sure wish they would make a new one already!

It’s a good thing I have this Old vintage cook book around.

MyRecipe vintage art still hangs proudly on our kitchen wall.

So here I go…Mod podge and my cans!

It really could not get any cuter, don’t you think?

Oh and this scale, is perfect, old chippy, rusty, just perfect in my eyes. I scored it in an antique shop in Lexington, NC

a few weeks back.

I always say, look around your house, surely there is something fun you can create without even leaving it.

Just always be sure to have some simple craft supplies on hand

Mod podge

hot glue gun

ribbon, etc….

all kinds of fun stuff you can come up with.

My vintage roosters so agree with me.

My Mom just gave me these in November. She found them at her local antique store.

Love em!

 I love this little can!

Off to the Dentist now:(

    That is a very cute idea! Where do you come up with these things? I love the little red cording on it. You didn’t just come up with a cute idea you came up a cute idea and took it one step further with the embellishments. That’s our Debbiedoo’s! :)

    That can is just so cute!

    You’re right…I find that when I challenge myself to use what I have & not go out & buy new, I create something I’m much more happier with.

    So, so cute!!! I love the idea of using old cans. I hate throwing them in the recycle because I just know I will see something I want to try. Love the old silverware. I have a huge bag of forks. I know what I am going to do with them now!!

    So cute! Love the scale.
    We are in Illinois with 12 inches of snow. Brrrrrrr, I am cold. Any craft I do will have to require no leaving the house.
    Blessings to you and the family for a Happy New Year.
