Bungalow style Home tour

When Debbie first asked me to to gather up some photos for a Home Tour
Feature on her blog, I was flattered…and then I laughed a hearty
laugh and realized she could be desperate for home tours.

I’ll let
you decide if I’m flatter-worthy…mmmkay?

Bungalow style home tour

The exterior, which other than planting a few flowers, I can take no credit for.

This is in my front foyer. Yep, it’s a project waiting to be
finished. I’m trying to figure out a way to get these too-small doors
to fit on this wardrobe.

Zee sofa table in zee living room. (Yes, I’ve developed a sudden
French accent.)

You will notice a theme…I collect kitchen items. It’s a sickness.

You see, I have French doors….hence the French accent. (cough…lame…cough)

My $3.00 end tables next to my reedonkulously expensive couch.

I inherited these chairs from my parents. They began their life as
orange and white polka-dotted wonders. Does that give you a hint of
their age?

A dry sink with a hand pump in my living room? Why, yes…isn’t this
how you get your water?

Why have I headed back toward the front door? I don’t know. I guess
I wanted to show you my moonshine whiskey storage. Yeehaw!

Zee dining room. Well, hey, aren’t those French chairs?

Somebody straighten out that table runner, please.

More of my obsession.

I don’t really dig those lights or the hardware, but I do live incopper country, soooo…I may be shot if I change it.

A peek into the master bedroom. Ooo lala…ala Target! (The bedding
and rugs, anyway.)

I have no grandchildren, so I had to make my own. She’s very well behaved.

This whole bedroom suite belonged to my parents. It was dark pine
with Early American brass pulls. I was so skeered to paint it, but
dove in any way.

My framed art secret: hair nets!

Please focus your eyes on the wedding dress that once belong to my
husband’s grandmother and ignore the spot I missed painting on the
hutch.

I gave that picture to my husband one anniversary. We’re romantic like that.

Another use for radiators…shelving.

Another art secret: framed sheet music.

Well, if you aren’t asleep by now, you might want to check out a few

I love bungalows too. Yours is too cute. I also have a collection of kitchen gadgets, on a much smaller scale. And keep that romance alive – good for you two!

what a beautiful home and what a great sense of humor!!
I had doors that didn’t fit my cupboard a few years back, I hung mine with equal space at top and bottom, thats the only advice I would have on that, I LOVE that breakfast nook, I want one!!!
