Lamp shade Before and After

I found this cute lampshade marked down at Walmart for 7.00.

too plain, definitely needed some embellishments!

lamp shade makeover for Fall

I really liked the shape and texture. Of course much too plain for my liking, I thought with my FAVORITE season approaching I would FALL it up a bit.  This is the first of my Fall decor…much more to come.

I really like the texture.

What a cute touch…easy too, I just hot glued the leaves, made a little bow with twine and stuck it in the center.

As you can see I took the twine and wrapped it just around the top some.

How easy was that? EASY!~ Those are the only craft projects I know how to do, the easy ones!

Thanks for stopping by today!

That’s so cute! I love that it’s simple and it would be easy to change it seasonally just by changing the leaves to something else. Very cool!

That is very cute! But even though you say it’s easy, I would never have thought to do that to the lampshade. You are just one of those creative ladies! I’m jealous!

It’s soooo funny…as I was scrolling through your comments and thinking how cuuuuute your shade turned out; I saw a photo of it before on the sidebar. Pretty, but I love the look now. It seems warmer.

i love this! i admit, i was afraid…sometimes people get a little out of hand embellishing things in blogland (purely my opinion) but this is PERFECT! just a hint of fall, yet no mistaking it’s there in the details. one of my fave things you’ve done yet!

You know, I have two lamp shades that I’ve been thinking about doing something to update them and your bit of twine and some fall leaves are so nice! Great job and great price at the walmart!
